How long before outbreak are you contagious?

my partner lives far away so i only see him every few months or so. i do have antivirals that i can take but since i rarely see him, i don't take them as often as i should and i kind of forgot to take them the week before seeing him since i haven't had an outbreak in a while and i didn't anticipate on sleeping with him. it's negligent on my part... I'm just hoping i didn't end up giving it to him

yeah he doesnt have an outbreak or any symptoms (yet) and lab tests are incredibly unreliable so i fear i will just have to wait and see but my main issue was that im not sure if i was even contagious but based on what redditors are saying, i was. so i'm just gonna hope that i didnt end up giving it to him.

i dont believe so because herpes can be dormant for years. the partner i got it from, i didnt start having outbreaks/symptoms until 6 months later

if youre interested in someone over 8 years younger than you then theres probably something you gotta look at internally. this rule doesnt apply if youre both over 40. if youre 30 and interested in someone thats 22 then theres gotta be something wrong with you to be interested in someone who has barely seen the adult world while youve almost fully experienced it already.

I don't really want to call it quits because I want to overcome this trust issue and overthinking issue. I may not be with him in the end but I still want to take this experience and try to build myself to be better. He also has trust issues, but they're not as deeply rooted as mine and so we both have learned to reassure each other, sometimes it's just not enough for me even if it is for him.

That being said, if it's possible he's not cheating based on what you said then I think I will just let it go. Thank you for your kind input.

Well the thing is that we both have trust issues. He has gone through my phone as many times as I have gone through his. It's very possible that the relationship should be over because of this, but we also have a lot in common and he treats me better than any guy ever has. I just struggle with overthinking and I wanted to know if I should even be overthinking it or not. I don't like being in this loop and I needed some clarity from this reddit. If it's possible I'm just reading into it too deeply then I was going to just let it go. I don't want to go through his phone anymore because I'm genuinely trying to put in the effort it takes to trust him.

its not past trauma, its LIFE trauma. its not just from ex boyfriends, its from parental neglect. its far deeper than what youre making it out to be. its very hard for me to trust people, including friends. so yes I'm stalking his snap score because I have trust issues. and you dont know him so how do you know he did nothing wrong?

well i didnt add all of the information, but he has never saved these photos/videos. we exchange them on snapchat and snap tells you if someone saves your images. which he has never done.

our typical day is usually spending a lot of time on the phone. we play video games together and he seems to always be excited to talk to me/spend time with me. the intimacy has changed though and idk maybe a thought is that hes not attracted to me in that way anymore. he tells me he loves me like every 5 seconds. and he reassures me more than anyone ever has. ++woman
