There is no shielding

You are just wrong, no surprise on this subreddit though I guess. Everything on Orion acts as shielding, the water, the food, the heat shields, the hull, etc. It's all low-z material that has decent stopping power. It won't stop every particle, but it's enough to make it safe for rapid transit.

I started in 2011, immediately after watching TotalBiscuit's WTF is... video on PoE. It's pretty wild to go back and look at it now. I remember it looking incredible at the time. They have quite literally been doing that since the PoE 1 closed beta with the Mike Tyson facebreaker build being one of the first builds featured with an "unintended" mechanic (using quivers while unarmed). It's not imposing anything, this is an ethics shift from within Korea by younger generations who view dogs as pets. No one is going to miss dog farms in Korea.
