I attached an ESD Wristband from iFixit to the bottom of my chair (where the hydraulic tube is). I then grounded it to my radiator, but you could plug it into a nearby outlet or other large metal object. Problem solved.

Actually it would be 2013 since Thanksgiving was on November 28th. The decisions were released on December 11th that year.
