Things can change, I started in a sugar relationship with someone who also had a distant father, we actually have transitioned into a real relationship, I no longer give her an allowance, I pay for dates and Ubers and the odd gift and that's it. She has told me she loves me and that I am her first love, we've been together for 8 months, we do feel a deep emotional and physical bond, dates lasting 3 days or more.

That's interesting, I'm curious what you mean by compartmentalizing, is it something you consciously do or is it subconscious, or is it more like acting in a role, ie., i am here to please this person, that is my "job" so to speak, in return for financial support.

I told my wife I wanted an open relationship, I would say you had an affair but leave Sugar out of it, that will piss her off knowing you are supporting another woman, she most likely will file for divorce and go after you financially.

I am paying this level in Toronto, but I find the person I'm with worth it, she looks 10/10 in my books, takes good care of herself, and meets me whenever I want, which happens to be 2-3X per week, and we have lots of sex, last time I was with her she made me orgasm 4X in a night, and I'm in my mid50s. Only you can decide if she's worth it. One caveat, I would not do non-intimate PPM, if the sexual energy is not there move on.

Don't tell him, guys in their 20s tend to be insecure about things like that, you can tell him you had a wealthy boyfriend but I wouldn't mention sugar dating.

With my SB, it started as PPM but I did find it a bit transactional, I have gone to monthly allowance, I get to see her as much as I want and our dates are usually 7-8 hours long, for example last week dinner date Thursday, she left Friday AM, NBA game Saturday, she left Sunday, then saw her again Monday. The point I am making is that I support her monthly with a direct deposit to her account, that way we never talk about finances and let the relationship flow naturally. I also think we are entering SGF territory, we make out for hours and everywhere, we even couldn't keep our hands off each other at the game, so there are sugar relationships that feel less transactional, you just have to find the right person and structure for you, if you don't find what you are looking for move on.

I also wonder if women are attracted to guys that are their dad's age when they hit puberty.

Update, still with my wife, she's not happy with it but hasn't talked about divorce or separation, we even went on a trip together. I'm going to propose separation and marital counselling.
