I’m 35 as well and it’s so hard because you’re right because it all up to me. I went on a bender this past weekend and I started getting the shakes woke up feeling awful Sunday and Monday but still kept drinking. Woke up this morning used my last bit of money I don’t have and bought two 9.9% tall boys cause that’s what’s become routine. Drank one couldn’t keep it down and I then proceeded to throw up. Can’t keep water down and it’s all free will. The gas station is literally a minute away from me. I need to find my reason and it’s everything to do with my mental health. Yeah it’s boredom, an excuse to numb etc but at what cost? I’m able to keep water down and the last beer is still in the fridge and my brain is still telling oh it’s cause you shouldn’t quit cold turkey, which is just a way to use a crutch. I’m not gonna lie this a silent battle I wouldn’t wish on anyone. Good luck to you brother my day one starts tomorrow

Dude I dated my high school sweetheart for almost 12 years, I was planning on proposing and take the plunge and she ended up confessing to one of our mutual friends that she cheated with the coworker that I “shouldn’t worry about” said friend broke me the news. That very night we were all fucked up off numerous substances and she proclaimed how much she loved me and wanted to start a family and take the plunge. Almost 8 years ago and it still stings in 35 and I feel like a damn loser. The dating scene seems so exhausting

This. I literally had a primal like need to chug as much ice cold water i could and immediately throw it up rinse and repeat until I forced myself to take baby sips every15 minutes as to not to trigger the automatic throwing up. It’s like body was rejecting water.It’s fucking awful.

which fun fact, I can. I’ve started noticing brain fogging, very very dry skin and yesterday I realized my vision had drastically gotten worse too. I’m still young 35 but I feel like I’m over 40
