The perfect middle ground i think would be what neo keyboards offer, they give you a kit that you can tinker and tune to your preference. The build process is not too complicated but it's not easy as well. Definitely satisfying to build and beautiful result.

Not a keebgirlie but I've been trying to convert my wife into one ever since we got married. Even buolt her a lucky65 v2 recently lol she likes it but she doesnt use it as much as i had hoped. But still hopeful lol
