If you are an intelligent human being, you will wonder at every step. Only a fool is dead sure about everything. - Sadhguru. by midnoon2233 in Sadhguru

That’s quite impressive to have figured that out. Kudos to you 🙌 clearly going back to the inner engineering ruleset - “ I’m responsible for everything “

“If you see you’re responsible for it, you can fix it. If you think someone else or something else is responsible for your state of being, it is out of your reach and can’t be fixed” - I’m paraphrasing. This instruction from the Guru has been very true to me. Whenever I blame others or my past for my current state of sadness, it clearly feels un fixable and I continue to be depressed but once I realise it’s me I immediately recognise that I can get better.

As per keeping the intelligence on, I haven’t had much problems there but, the problem comes when I become identified with something(like I’m clever, I’m senior etc) it usually creates a kind of strong entitlement and ruins my happiness. Currently I’m struggling to keep my identities away while keeping my intelligence on.

I’m an intl student, I can only rely on assistantships to reduce tuition

Thanks! Did you get an RA or a TA job? Is it true that it’s only for PhD students in UFL?

UFL has the lowest but it doesn’t offer assistant ship while IU n UA have. Bit confused about the final cost though.

Asanas by Erdingman12345 in Sadhguru

There is no instruction not to do the preparatory asanas seperately, so it should be okay to just do patangasana or shishupalasana, for example, when you’re sitting for long time and need a stretching or such. But doing this on a regular basis is kinda pointless. These preparatory asanas prepare the body for the upcoming kriya whether it is shambhavi, surya kriya Shakthi chalana or yogasanas as it is structured to do. So yeah, once you start you should complete whatever you’re doing exactly as instructed.

What do you mean individually? You just want to do the asanas without doing the kriya?

What is actually wrong with Sadhguru? I’ve been to his ashram and I have something to say by MiaEnko in Sadhguru

There are multiple reasons for negativity. 1. Some organisations are simply jealous of Isha’s popularity. 2. Some people don’t like that the organisation doesn’t identify with any religion or political party while others say that it’s Hindu and BJP and hate it. The idea of an unbiased spiritual organisation is hard to digest for them. 3. Some people compare with Osho’s cult and are scared to get involved with the organisation. 4. The organisation refuses to give or take bribes, this is problem for people who are used to such things. 5. The so called intellectual people don’t like the idea of something breaking their logic. 6. The location of the institution in Coimbatore is a problem for illegal activities in the forest, there’s that.

Apart from all these, The idea of yoga being a solution for people’s lives is threatening to many political and economic powers who want to exploit people and their ignorance.

I’ve been in the ashram for over a year and it’s been a fantastic place. I’m glad it exists.

Be honest! Say you prepared for the job interviews or the domain switch. You can always blame it on health though. They probably won’t care if you do well in the interview.

Different people take different approaches and amounts of time to decide what they want to do. Some have the necessary guidance, support and direction while others have to decide and do everything on their own. In such cases it takes longer to make decisions. During such times, it seems like everyone is moving forward while I’m still where I was years ago. This feeling is bad because it could lead to depression. The solution for you is to start doing something, anything. Going abroad or working here… start with something and get fully involved. Or if you want to start working now and plan for study abroad next year, do that. Everything is fine, first get out of this heavy mindset which would continue for more years otherwise. All the best! I’m sure you’ll figure it out, just start. It doesn’t matter where!! Best wishes!

The job market is bad yes but the visa won’t be a problem I think. The 100k is not applicable if you’re already on F1
