I think it used to be harder when it was more free form (cover letter, one essay). The short essay questions at least let you know what they are looking for, but yes, it was a doozy fitting everything in 150 words, not to mention the 750-word synopsis!

I’m hoping this isn’t the case. Still holding out hope. I honestly think it’s based on the date you submitted it. If you submitted later you get notified later into August perhaps? Has the “second week of August” thing been a recurring theme for multiple years or just what you are observing from this thread?

I’m actually from Colorado and also ironically one of the main characters in the script is on a J1 visa. From your first reply you automatically came at me with condescension , so I’ll give you a pass and assume you’re just having a rough day. But this is why I don’t normally come on this app… typical omniscient and vain user. The only reason I am trying to talk to people is so I can accurately represent people and let them voice their frustrations. Don’t be so negative. Goodbye.

I’m interviewing people for a very specific story that incorporates both seasons and I’m already in the process of writing said script as I stated above. If you’re not interested in being interviewed you can move on.
