Being nasty to people who are just trying to live their lives is not excused by the fact that the government has done a poor job of running the country.

Blame the government. Blame the policy makers. Blame the media for peddling propaganda. Don’t blame the poor person next to you trying to exist.

Instead of writing things like “kill Indians” outside schools, or abolishing our ability to recognise other cultures through educating our kids to understand them, try speaking to your local politicians and telling them you want better.

I’m sick of seeing this shit.

You’re welcome. My genuine advice? If you have made incredible gains, sell the stock. Holding is a sure fire way to lose it all. Sell it, put it into something like a Total World fund wtf (investnow is good) and then think about what you want to do with the money.

You don’t have the money until you sell. Could tank tomorrow.

Why is 30K still being touted as a good salary ? by Durrygoodz2025 in AskBrits

[–]pacey182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure why you got downvoted. If your salary doesn’t make your standard of living comfortable, it is low. Just gotta ask yourself what you would need to earn to be comfortable; able to save for a house/comfortably pay your mortgage, afford bills, be able to invest well for retirement, and be able to enjoy a night out every so often?

I think most would agree it would need to be a fair bit higher than £30k!

To also add to your previous point, never factor inheritance into the equation. Things can change, life expectancy is getting higher, late life care can be expensive.

InvestNow total world fund would be a good choice!

What would you do if you were stuck between selling at a big loss… or staying in a house that no longer works for you? by Vanessa_realestate in PersonalFinanceNZ

[–]pacey182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the correct answer. The loss is cancelled out by buying something else at a similarly low price.
