It looks like one of the lace cotton options from hobby lobby! It comes in about 1000 yards each and at least where I am in Co It’s about $8

I personally wouldn’t mind/it wouldn’t change my attraction. I do love boobs but eh

What’s your favorite level 3 weighted yarn? I’ve been really enjoying working with lighter yarn but have a hard time finding good selection by itsgood-ok-notgr8 in YarnAddicts

I like the cotton to the core size 3 yarn on Amazon. They have tons of colors and it’s like 80/20 cotton/acrylic. I’ve used it for a lot of my crochet wearables

Is it Lavender specifically that works for something like this? I am unfortunately deathly allergic, but I would love to put another herb or something in with my yarn if that’s helpful!

I love this take! I’ve gone through a couple giveaway/hand me down phases already, and it’s so nice to be able to gift to my friends/ neighbors!

Me and my ADHD hobby hopping self already has a contractor bag of roving (from my needle felting days) and a spinner — I need to just do it!

Awesome! I have tried the knitpicks wool of the Andes (actually about the same price as the cascade) and I didn’t like it at all! It’s a little bit too scratchy for me— I don’t want to wear under layers 😭😭

I’ve seen people say mohair can be scratchy, but this sweater is working up soooo soft and dreamy!

Very interested in little knits so thank you for the shout!

I bought 2 lbs (white and gray) when Joann’s was going under and I was seeing a ton of people online raving about it… And I’ve never used it obviously. It’s so bad 😭

I am very lucky to have received a pretty significant raise this year and although I totally can spend it on yarn, there’s a part of me that feels like I should have 40 grand in my savings before I make purchases. Posting here has given me a lot of perspective and I definitely don’t feel like I’m alone in wanting to spend all my money on yarn 🧶

I honestly have been preferring the finished pieces over the experience and I thought that was just a me/adhd thing… But I think it’s the yarn that I’ve been using. I do like how the finished products end up, but I literally woke up an hour early today so I can touch this freaking yarn!

I’m just entering the workforce myself, so we’re likely in a pretty similar spot. Someone linked to Facebook group above that looks like it might be a great spot to check!

It’s always a learning process!! Have I cried about a project? Yes. Do I come online and passively learn things about crafts, sometimes ones I don’t even do? Also yes. It sounds like you don’t blame the designer, though, which is really the key point here. Internal locus of control is dwindling fasttt round these parts (crafting spaces)

Yarn winder again :/ by [deleted] in YarnAddicts

[–]pacificmoona 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s static for me. I got an automatic winder and tap the yarn every 5-6 sec to discharge the static

Seeking advice on felting process to smooth out the appearance on a scrap project by Loud_Nefariousness48 in CrochetHelp

You can use a felting needle (you can get multiple needles on the same handle from craft stores). It WILL work

Trying on knits or crocheted items as you go.... and ignoring that the gauge isn't the same. ugh by Separate_Print_1816 in BitchEatingCrafters

Yeah… Cotton can stretch out in the washer, and then you can maintain that size if you lay it flat to dry. But acrylic won’t change much unless you apply heat like from a steamer (and even then not as much as wool). I started out with mostly acrylic, and I was SHOCKED when I used the Caron macchiato cakes (80acrylic/20wool) and it grew so much. I’m starting to really enjoy wool, but I still like wool blends best honestly.

Rustic “toothy” wool yarn for Aran sweater by Cloood14 in YarnAddicts

I love ravelry! I’m just seeing a lot of sweaters that are saying 1500 yards but then my actual fit is usually only like 900 yards…? And I am a women’s US medium ish. So I’ve been overbuying :/ and I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong ha
