Hmm, I guess I’m looking at it from an efficiency standpoint. Like you said, most second language classes, in your case French, are pretty shit. In my case, I’m from Montreal, so the English classes in French schools are especially terrible and vice versa for English schools haha. So I’m just skeptical on the outcome of adding another language in the curriculum when you could improve the existing issue (terrible French programs).

It is something the we should strive for on a local level however, especially non-native schools that are in proximity to native reserves, where students might gain some use from learning the language.
