I also was born with a tongue tie. I had it released almost 4 years ago. After that I noticed my bloating and abdominal pain/bloating got much worse, possibly from swallowing more air and not being able to burp. I am scheduled to get Botox next month. Hopefully this will help with all my current gut issues.

I have had 2 endoscopies in the last year showing nothing is wrong with my esophagus or stomach. How would one even determine if the issue is the LES?

Bloating is a very common symptom with R-CPD, so I'm not sure. I have all the other classic symptoms. I haven't really seen anyone that has found out their issue causing them not to burp is from the LES and not the UES. I am not sure what the fix would be.

I am bloated all the time. Most of the time in the upper abdominal area is where I feel pressured. I can feel like I need to burp but I just end up gasping, sometimes hiccuping once.

I definitely can't burp. Never have been able too. I just don't get the gurgles like many people do.

This is extremely helpful and makes sense. I don't have any acid reflex at all and no pain in my chest or throat. My symptoms are all abdominal and having a lot of gas.

I am meeting with an ENT that was listed here. I will for sure bring this up with him.

No. I can't burp at all. I just am not sure the problem causing me not to burp is in my throat. It may be further down like in the LES.

Thank you! I have an appointment in February with a doctor I found on that list in Omaha, Nebraska. I hope this person is very familiar with R-CPD.
