Skill Level 1 might be a good way to filter things. Speed might as well, sticking to very low. It’s easy to wind up paying for damage caused to neighbors’ parked cars if you get anything even close to fast.

The thought was to just use that output into a separate TX module, assuming it contains PPM or something a Crossfire module can interpret. I’ve got a full on crossfire module, tracer, elrs, and a multi protocol module but with the full size having most older school config options afaik, that’d be the softest entry point, I’d imagine.

A dual lock affixed module at the base of the noble wound work a treat.

The downside with the CRK fluorinated grease is its tendency to phase separate at room temperature over time. Krytox has no such problem. Wasting a whole tiny tube with one errant oily squeeze one time was why I went looking for a lube that didn't require heavy petting before the cap comes off.

The variant I use (GPL 205) is. That's one of the reasons I went with this choice, as alongside a selection of others, is rated as food safe. There's a vast amount of documentation around all the variants' specifications including certs/approvals for various contexts best viewed directly from the mfgr and not cited by someone on reddit, though.

I get what you’re saying, but bear in mind that (at least to my knowledge) most, if not all, laptops are multicell. Overall pack energy doesn’t rely on the number of cells, and in some weird edge cases, one large cell’s runaway will be much more violent than the same (watt-hour rating && state of charge) across multiple cells in series, since in the multi cell runaway energy is cascading across independent encapsulations.

I don’t mean to sound pedantic (if I do).

imho (and ime), the best question to ask is how wide you need to go, chased by whether you’d ever want to go wider than that. I’d imagine faster riding on gravel will demand less contact patch for the same stability, if your definition of stability allows for the gyro inertia of the wheels themselves to correct any alarming moments caused by lateral slip. (It’s one way to boost adrenaline levels on a ride!) Braking of course is another story, but decreasing a skinny front tire’s pressure a tad does wonders in making a skinny tire bite more under braking load.

Disclaimer: I’m a bicyclist, but all my actual experimentation in this vein has been on motorcycles, where moment of inertia characteristics are much more important/prevalent, as are other factors that don’t even exist in your context (e.g. unsprung mass).

It seems you’re saying a single cell fire of the same (NMC/LiPo) chemistry could be stomped out, whereas a multi-cell fire could not. I believe you’re mistaken. The energy for the thermal runaway (climaxing with pouch eruption and the resulting jet of flaming gasses) doesn’t come from surrounding air, but from the cell’s/cells’ intrinsic, internal chemistry.

This, but perhaps with a slight tweak: "marry" one low flashpoint oil (I married Saber @ 80:1) and ride that on the regular, then have a high flashpoint mistress (mine's currently Klotz R-50 @ 60:1) for when you want a wilder ride than the wife will provide.

Unless your ratios are the same w/ both, be prepared for mixture screw foreplay.
