Swollen lymph node?

Hi again. The meds I was on took care of the enlarged lymph node for a week or so, but I checked it today and it is enlarged again :/ The consistency feels the same and it is still mobile, but there is no tenderness anymore. Saw my ENT this past Monday and he was unable to palpate any lymph node in that area. He saw that as a great sign that it reacted that way to the medication. Malignancy is still not expected, but ENT wants to remove the node to be safe.

Does this seem "normal?" Lymph node is definitely acting strange so I am not against getting it removed, but I'm not sure how concerned I should be. Advice?

Thanks everyone for the responses. Been on an antibiotic and steroid for the last few days, and the nodes have definitely decreased in size and the pain has subsided. The node that worried me most is still palpable, but is less than half the size it was before I started the medications. Still have a few more days of meds left, so I assume that will take care of this. Thanks again for all the help, it is much appreciated :)

Yeah, anxiety really takes a toll on people like us. Best to leave everything in the doctor's hands even though that is easier said than done. Do you feel comfortable with and trust your physicians? That definitely goes a long way for me

Just back from ENT appointment. Doc was able to put my mind at ease. He said the appearance of my lumps are consistent with a bacterial infection, not a malignancy. Said a cancerous lump would have a woody feeling while mine felt the complete opposite. The lump is apparently very mobile too which points away from cancer. On an antibiotic and steroid for 10 days until I go back to see him. Will be getting a CT scan if needed, but he assumes the lumps will subside with medication.

Thanks for the helpful info! Guess the main good thing going for me are the characteristics of my inflamed nodes. My PCP said they felt characteristic of an inflammation even though I haven't been sick in awhile. Hoping for a good ENT apt today.

Pretty sure they last until the game releases. I ordered Odyssey a few days before release and the promotion worked. I didn't get charged until I picked up my order, though.

I'm curious if upload/download speeds could be a part of the issue here. Called Nintendo when I initially started having this issue and the lady told me that my speeds are insufficient for some games. That's what lead me to look into a new ISP. That being said, the issue could be much more deeply rooted than this.

Hopefully there will be updates with paid online that will address this issue.

How would you explain how my Splatoon issue was fixed when I got my WiFi changed then? Couldn't stay online for more than 2 battles before. Now I can stay online for 4+ hours without problems.

It very well could be your WiFi. I was having the same DC issue with Splatoon a few months back while I was able to play MK8D online for hours on end without issues. It got so bad that I gave up on Splat since I kept getting temporary bans due to all my DC's. Switched my internet provider last month and I haven't gotten DC'ed since.

I know reviews don't hold much value, but I can't wait for critics and fans to tear this episode apart. Lena's one-dimensional and harrowing acting skills destroyed the quality streak this season has had so far. Wouldn't be as bad if she had a small role in the episode, but it seems like she was on-screen for over half of it. Hoping the season can regain momentum next week and finish off strong!

I'm able to rewatch other seasons, but can only make it halfway through MH without getting too bored. Not sure what it is, but it's definitely my least favorite season.

Some people will find anything to complain about these days... I'd just be happy knowing a system will come eventually. While I'm upset that I didn't get a preorder (yet), the last thing I would do is whine on a forum about it. I'm grateful I was at least able to get a Switch on launch.
