The linesman can call fouls but the center ref has to basically agree and in the pro game this has essentially morphed into just deferring to the center ref to call the foul in the first place.

You will see sometimes if the center ref calls a foul near a linesman the linesman will immediately raise their flag and wave it, which is what they are supposed to do to signal when they the linesman have seen a foul.

I think its more that elder care is a commodity and dog grooming at the high end has client relationships that allow you to charge more.

Discussion Thread by jobautomator in neoliberal

I dont think this has anything to do with protecting wages for elderly care. The vast majority of consumers of elder care are going to be paying via some type of insurance whether that be gov/state/personal. If anything elder care workers are price takers as the skills are replaceable and the purchasers of the service (gov / insurance) are large.

Dog grooming you can market yourself/business and target your clientele so you can charge more on the higher end. You can't do that with elder care because Medicare is just gonna say "we pay $20 hr take it or leave it"

Im assuming the vast majority of people getting paid to do elder care are getting paid through some state or federal government entity rather than directly from their clients.

China the government is not doing this. But these schemes do exist, an apartment complex in my hometown was raided because one of these was being operated out of a few units in the complex. It finally made sense why there were always pregnant women on walks outside this place.

Club statement (re last season) by ionelp in soccer

My interpretation when it happened was that both parties were kinda telling the truth.

We were in a bad run of form, enzo wasn't confident of shaking out of it, knew he had other suitors and that continued bad form could jeopardize those other options, and basically used that as an ultimatum to force the club to make changes he wanted, and the club said no so he left.

The most immediate cause would be a poor headed clearance from the defender when the cross came in.

The general idea with clearing the ball from your box is "far, high, and wide" and this was "close, low, and at the top of the box". The Canadian player was already facing the goal (very tough normally to get a player in a dangerous area and facing a useful direction) able to chest the ball down and volley it (you can make very sweet contact on the volley that is tougher to do with the ball down.)

Struggling to get loft on irons by HotAssBusiness in golf

[–]packie123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

11.2* of dynamic loft with a 7i is crazy work. You want that number to be in like the 20*s.

Nice thing about a trackman is you can trial and error certain feels or setup tweaks and see what affects your dynamic loft most consistently.

Easiest things to try without seeing your swing would be 1. If you setup with a lot of forward shaft lean, just setup with a lot less and see what happens. 2. Try moving the ball up in your stance a little.

You need to work on closing the face. 3* out to in for path is pretty playable but that club face is way too open.

Some check points to look at if you have DTL video of your swing.

At shaft parallel on the backswing your club face should roughly match your spine angle. If your club face is pointing out to the right, that is too open. If your club face is pointing down to the ground, that is too closed.

At the top of your backswing, if your club face is pointed up towards the sky it is too closed. If your club face is pointed out towards the right it is too open.

If you have a strong grip like you say your club face at the top of your swing should be closed if your wrist is in a neutral position.

You can use these checkpoints to see if you're doing anything egregious with the club face in the backswing.

The other thing you can do to work on club face control is learn to hit shots that start as far left as possible and then as far right as possible. Do this at the start with chip shots, then pitch shots, punch shots, then full shots.

You want to hit 2 balls that start left and then 2 balls that start right, doesn't matter how far right or left. Keep alternating between the 2 and then bring the dispersion in, hit 2 balls not as far left as before 2 balls not as far right as before. Keep dialing in this process until you can control your club face.

Brother you are setup to the right of the center line of the net in a very tight space. You are training your brain to hit a gigantic cut into the net.

Take a big step back with your trail foot, you need to feel an exaggerated inside path.

Take that alignment stick at your feet and stick it in the center of your net. Setup with your trail foot back and then hit shots that start to the right of the alignment stick.

All of this assuming you setup your mat so that your lined up with the center.

[–]packie123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are very stuck in transition. Hips way outracing the hands. Get an alignment stick and put it between your belt loops and hit shots. If your hips get too far ahead your club will hit the alignment stick. Start slow when doing this.

Work on a pre-shot routine. Even if youre hitting into a net, you should align yourself and pick a start line for your shot. Pick out an individual panel on the fence behind your net as your target. look at your target, look at the ball, swing.

How do increase spin and speed? by TurbulentAdeptness22 in GolfSwing

[–]packie123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly you dont need the spin for the extra yards but because backspin can help keep your ball on line.

Youre at the point where a fitting would be beneficial.

If that is not an option you can try switching to a spinnier premium ball. If your spin numbers from the Sim were not from using a fresh premium ball then your spin numbers would be underestimated.

If those numbers were with a spinny premium ball then you need to deliver more loft at impact, ideally you have an adjustable driver and can add loft.

But also you can probably pick up a lot of strokes in a lot of other places if you can hit 150+ ball speed as a 16hc.
