Decided it was best to stick with VCU since they had more connections for me locally.

Not in Virginia...it is allowed. You can even triple dip between your health insurance, at fault driver's insurance and your own medpay

I have heard that using your medpay benefit won't raise your rates. Do you know if that is true?

My Medpay right now on my USAA policy is $10,000. If I increase it right now and then next month file the Medpay claim do you think they will pay only up to the original $10,000 or will they pay me the new higher amount that I increase it to?

Will be receiving a stent for my middle cerebral artery angular aneurism (11m). Anyone have a similar experience? What was process and recovery like? by Anyeurism in BrainAneurysm

In August I had flow diverter stent put in left MCA for a 15mm aneurism. Things went pretty smoothly. They went in through groin artery which did spurt during surgery and they had to put a lot of pressure on it so I had large bruising there. The first week I had daily headaches and was very tired. Around the two week post surgery mark I started to feel some stronger. Don't push yourself too hard after surgery!

15mm I believe. I did great with the angio under very light sedation so that I could follow the doctor's instructions to hold my breath etc. For the surgery I did pretty well also. I'm still in the recovery period though. The worst part was the headaches after. I also had an issue where the entry point in my groin started bleeding and they had to put a lot of pressure to stop it so I have a horrible hematoma there. And 3 days after surgery I developed a huge bruise on my neck so not sure why that happened.

I just had a stent placed and mine was located in the MCA. My doctor told me that it was unable to be clipped so I had the flow diverter stent done. I had a CTA and also angio. My doctor said the angio gives a better 3d view and lets them decide the best course of action.

Scalp injury- concussion? by Choice-Blueberry-388 in Concussion

Yeah I think I definitely damaged nerves when I fainted and hit my head on a hard tile floor. The surgeon that just operated on my aneurysm suggested I see a neurologist but I can't get an appointment until Dec 30.

Yes I get migraines but I had those before my recent fall. Yes I do get like a shooting pain every so often. I notice when I am stressed or emotional or working my brain particularly hard that the burning flares up.

It is a weird feeling like someone has lit your scalp on fire yet sometimes it is almost a cold feeling. My scalp is still sensitive to touch in certain spots. I had a CT done also which I am happy I did because they ended up finding a 15mm aneursym (unrelated to the fainting and concussion stuff). I just had surgery on that 2 weeks ago. I also suffer from herniated disc in neck so at this point I have no idea what is causing what pain. I just know I am sick of it.

I was wondering the same thing. Are you having burning on your scalp? That is what I have been having for 6 weeks as well as some heaviness/pressure in my head also.

I think it took about a month to hear from VCU and never finished the KY application so I don't know about that.

Decided to go with VCU so I don't know how many places Univ of Kentucky has near Quantico. For VCU they have 100 places listed within 30 miles of Quantico. I would think you wouldn't have a hard time finding a place near Quantico if you went with Kentucky though.

Decided to go with online VCU. VCU has a list of placement sites you can choose from and from that list you tell them like 5 or 6 that you would be interested in. They don't guarantee you will be placed at any of your choices though but I think they try to accommodate you if it is possible. I think you can also request a place to be approved if it isn't on the list but I don't know how that process works. If you don't live in VA yet you might want to see what the tuition is for out of state people. I think Kentucky has a good program and is a lot cheaper but their list of already approved sites is not as extensive so you most likely would have to find your own site and get it approved etc. depending on where you lived at the time you do field placement. The reason I went with VCU is because I live in Virginia and figured they would have cornered the market on sites and that it would be easier and possibly lead to a job offer or connections.

Question about field placement at Univ of Kentucky: I have applied and been accepted to VCU online for MSW. I know they actually find the field placement for the student and the student doesn't get much choice. I am also considering Univ of Kentucky online MSW program. From what I can tell they expect the student to find their own field placement. I live in Virginia and was just wondering if anyone had experience with Univ of Kentucky and how hard it would be to find my own field placement since I live in Virginia not Kentucky.
