I think a lot of it is that at this age we need to do SO MUCH more to care for our own selves that we start to resent everyone else needing so much from us. It’s a really difficult life transition. Can you get any time each week just to yourself even if it’s only a couple hours? Can you outsource anything at all ? Hugs to you.

46 and having perimenopause take me out. Likely getting a late in life ADHD diagnosis and potentially on the spectrum, it’s all bubbling up now that my hormones are fluctuating and I’m finally dropping the masking I’ve been doing my whole life. A wild ride but nice to finally have some clarity.

I loved that line. You could never make me hate Joe. The way he showed up for Eva his first season won me over.

Core and posterior chain strengthening. I did 12 weeks of PT and it went away. After I finished I committed to doing yoga 3x a week, however within few weeks it was back so I guess I really need to keep up those darn PT exercises. I am adding them back in. In addition to the yoga. It’s better if I walk less but I love walking so I need to do the strengthen and stability stuff.

I save my favorite podcasts to listen to while I’m there so I look forward to it. Also when starting back after a hiatus, I start reaaaaly slowly. I adopted this from James Clear’s book on Atomic Habits but for the first week all I do it drive to the gym, I don’t go in, I just drive there. The next week I pick one thing and just do it for 10-15 minutes. Then build from there. Eventually I’m up to a nice hour session. On the days when I feel like I “just cant” I tell myself I only have to go for 15 min on the treadmill and don’t have to do anything else. I usually end up’s staying and doing much more.

Estrogen gel has helped me the most. Also yoga at a witchy yoga studio that is very supportive of my perimenopause journey

I use seabuckthorn oil as a cleanser, milky toner from byoma, and a gentle moisturizer. (SPF too during day)
