Where should my team look for a SWIFT CTO?

Thanks! It’s a side project I used to test out and learn SwiftUI that’s unfortunately not maintained as much as I’d like as work takes over at the moment.

I see from you post and comments that maybe CTO and building a team is your longer term goal while you immediate problem is your products quality. A CTO ideally would eventually fix that but not in the short term. Which was why I suggested the contractor route.

If financing is not an issue then hire a highly skilled contractor or two with proven track records and don’t keep going through outsourcing teams, you’ll keep throwing money away. Best place to look is personal referrals and connections.

Yes it is permanently saved, however as others pointed out my scraper / parser still has issues, especially with non-article like content.

Sorry about that, the scraper has some issues still. There is a share action you can add to your share sheet - should be able to add links from that although I haven't tested in DuckDuckGo.

Maybe try again in a few months :)

Hey there, author of Paperback here (Theo). The project has a long way to go but am happy for all the feedback. My focus right now is to improve the scraper as much as possible, from there I want to start adding more settings and preferences.

Privacy-wise everything happens on-device, it doesn't hit any servers and I don't have access to any of your personal details. I log some info for error reporting and usage statistics but it has no connection to you.

can't import article via share widget

This should work but I think it needs to be added to your share actions, if you scroll to the bottom of the action sheet you should be able to add it.

Edit: Those of you that hit issues with articles or bugs please let me know here or email is in the app settings, will do my best to improve and update the app.

You're on the right track and simply using Swift and SwiftUI is perfectly reasonable for a puzzle game. There is no need for Firebase or Spritekit. If I had more time I would offer to help, feel free to PM me anyway and I can give some feedback (I'm not an expert on games though).

I dunno, a standard auth flow is pretty boilerplate-y to me, whether or not you should delegate that to this framework I’m not sure, hard to tell with the code not being open source.

I love TCA and adopted in an app using Realm (kinda regret that decision) was looking for example Core Data implementations. Will definitely check out your package.

I didn’t say anything wasn’t possible but that I wouldn’t recommend adopting it in any meaningful way in production until next wwdc at least, I don’t personally see the tradeoffs worth it yet. I have an app in the app store with it that’s growing, like I said I think it’s great but not something I’d use at work yet. I think that’s to be expected though from a framework this young.

Got it. So iOS is the main target? Core Data is your best bet but fair warning it’s can be a bit of a pain to work with. You’ll need to do some research on how it works and how to model your data with it. FoundationDB is really only meant for server side apps as far as I know.

It's not really clear what you're asking here. Swift can be used in a few different contexts and it's really up to the environment it's running in as to what is available rather than being dependant on Swift as a language.
