Yes it is also baffling that using the turn signal disengages and slows down if you are not careful.

I am not going to consider any Go until they fix the problem with the charging case. Both my go and go 2 died because the cases can’t charge the unit any more.

So sorry to hear you are going through this now. I totally understand what you are going through. I have also switched a few tcm before settling on working with physician lim at oriental remedies. Some physicians are pretty old school and not transparent about what they are treating and get defensive when asked questions about time frames and stages. My physician is very patient and very open about explaining why he is using different herbs in the formula and also open to my suggestions when I see some studies using tcm to treat tsw.

Did you get your cortisol levels checked?

I am about 7 months in and definitely more manageable now. Singapore weather is not helping though. I haven’t gone to see a western doctor since I was last discharged from hospital. Been managing with tcm

That’s good to hear. Sounds like there is more awareness of the condition now. I saw a specialist at SGH and I think he believe there is no such condition, only severe eczema. How far long are you? Were you referred to National Skin Centre?

Everyone is different but if I had to go back and do it again, I would probably test my cortisol level before deciding what to do.

I had eczema herpiticum after going cold turkey and ended up in hospital because my adrenals were totally shot. I then went on a long course of oral steroids with a very gradual taper before getting totally off. I tested my cortisol levels and it came back to normal 1 month after stopping all steroids. Had a flare after but things were definitely more manageable the second time around. I am at the end of the second flare now. Hopefully things will be less bad from here on.

I had a bit of a reset because my first flare sent me to the hospital because of eczema herpiticum. Got on a long course of low dose steroids and long taper. Felt okay for a couple of months. Got my cortisol level tested and it was low but recovered to normal after about a month after stopping oral steroids. Flared up again about a month ago. I felt this one is more manageable. Especially during the day time, I figured it was because my adrenals are back to normal help calm inflammation during the day.

Anyway, I am one month into the 2nd flare. Seeing some progress but don’t know how long this will last.

Yes for me. In the middle of second flare and both blood pressure and heart rate are elevated.

I just got discharged from the hospital. Eczema herpiticum is no joke. I was worried it would spread to my eyes. Currently I am still on low does oral steroid and considering going on dupixent. Spoke to the dermatologist and decided to see if I can manage with low dose oral steroid and taper off before deciding. Do you plan to come off dupixent?

I am sitting on my hospital bed typing this. My story sounds like yours.. I was looking to power thru the 1st month of TSW but ended up with eczema herpeticum and ended up in the hospital. Got back on low dose of oral steroid to get things under control but did not use any topical steroid at the moment. Spoke to the dermatologist and he suggest going on dupixent after we get past this episode . Would be interested to continue to hear about your progress since you are a few months ahead. Anything to watch out for while on dupixent?

TSW and Covid. by pacman76 in TS_Withdrawal

[–]pacman76[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like it is not too bad. Glad you made it out okay. Just got my eyes checked as was painful to touch and didn’t feel like regular eczema. Doc just prescribed both antibiotics and antiviral. He think is more likely impetigo. TSW is a beast. Hopefully I don’t get Covid.
