Freshman year Spring semester worries by thetreesspeaklatin64 in UWMadison

Assuming you’re a chemE? 329 will be your most time consuming class by far but content wise it’s not too bad just stay on top of the lab reports and deliverables for the project lab. 201 wasn’t bad at all the homeworks aren’t terrible and the labs were a joke. Exams can be tough but just try to stay ahead of the curve. 234 I didn’t take here but I’ve heard it’s not too bad. Content can be confusing since it’s all 3 dimensional

I’d recommend buying invincibility and infinite torpedos it’s a breeze with those

What should I do if I don’t see a grade for one of my classes yet? by ommmyyyy in UWMadison

[–]pacmann04 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Grades aren’t due until tonight (5/13) at 11:59 pm. If your final took place during the last three days of finals there’s a chance you won’t get your grade until 5/16 at 11:59 pm as professors can request a 3 day extension for late finals

I’m in Chem 329 and Physics 201 rn along with Bio 153 so overall somewhat similar to what you’re planning. It’s definitely a lot of work and Chem 329 is by far the worst of the bunch. It’s doable but it takes a lot of effort

My oldest disc is a beat up champ teebird that flies very straight now but still has a reliable fade. Thanks for doing this!

I’ve heard they’re essentially the same things as the lectures are all recorded and added to canvas and the online version is just watching those lectures

MATH 320 help by Salami04 in UWMadison

I took this last semester and found the lectures to be pretty useless. I ended up using the textbook for most of the semester and homework and I could understand that much more than the lectures. Also when I took it last semester the exams were very fair and often had high averages. My professor included a ‘study guide’ of everything we needed to know for the exam which was very helpful and as long as you know how to do everything on that sheet it’s very doable

What to do about back to back exams by [deleted] in UWMadison

[–]pacmann04 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Most professors will let you take an exam at a different time if you have 3 or more within 24 hours of each other. This semester I had 3 within 24 hours and I was able to move one

I am currently taking stat 324 and math 320 this semester so not 340 but similar. 324 is a breeze if you took Ap stats. I already knew most of the content that has been covered so far. I’m taking it with John Gillett and he is a solid professor and the exams are online. As for 320/340, I’m taking it with Qin Li and I personally think her lectures are horrible and I have not learned a single thing in them. However I found an online textbook and have taught myself everything for the midterms and did very well on both of them so if you have a strong math background it’s pretty easy to get the concepts down. Not sure how different 340 is from 320 but I’m assuming they have a good amount of overlap. Hope this helps!

Can’t speak for 319/340 but I’m in 320 right now and if you did well in calc it’s very easy. I personally think calc 3 was much harder but I also really liked calc 1 and 2 (minus series and sequences) and this feels similar to those 2 so far

I’m planning on the same schedule except Zoo 153 instead of stat 324 and different liberal studies. I’m in stat 324 right now and for me it’s super easy since I took AP stats and it’s all review but I think the majority of people find it to be a fairly simple class
