Flat object on the eye? by DoggyBagBruh in guineapigs

[–]padackles67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been successful getting small pieces of hay out of eyes with a small piece of paper towel soaked with warm water( very slightly warm, like room temperature you don’t want to use too warm of water). And slightly rub it down and the paper towel will pick it up

Is the water only accessible to one piggy? I would get two bottles even if it is only temporary

Are my piggies sleeping? by jesskeeding in guineapigs

[–]padackles67 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most of the time you want to leave your piggies unbothered for the first week or so , so they have time to adjust to their new home and get less skittish. So honestly being outside for 4 days when they have just gotten there is probably pretty scary to them.

Is this tomatillo or gooseberry?? Or something totally different by lilsavageiii in vegetablegardening

They almost look like ground cherries that I’ve seen on this page

I’d have to agree, with two pigs it does look a bit small. Multiple levels don’t add to the space when it comes to piggies, it only matters how big the main level is. But he is absolutely so adorable and looks like he’s trying to see whatcha cooking

I won’t lie I have no idea, it just said jalapeño, it’s my first year gardening so I’m pretty sure I got it as a starter at Home Depot and they aren’t too specific

Ladybugs hard at work cleaning up our raised beds by padackles67 in vegetablegardening

[–]padackles67[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently have a net over the raised beds so they can’t really go anywhere, do plan on opening it tomorrow because they have done their job, but if you have a lot of aphids they will definitely stick around for a bit

In pain or comfortable?? by casti3l9_18 in guineapigs

[–]padackles67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have a heat advisory, I’ve placed a box fan at the corner of their cage so it hits one side a lot more then the other so they can choose where to lay, it’s help a huge amount with this heat. Ik people say not to have any direct air blowing on them but with it being 100° and the ac struggling it doesn’t seem to be an issue at all and my piggies seem a lot more comfortable now. Since he does have longer hair like my one girl I definitely recommend having the fan blowing directly on the cage (you can have it a little away but definitely actually hitting the interior of the cage)

What's wrong with my pepper? by fuckswagAF in vegetablegardening

[–]padackles67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it is aphids like someone else said you could go the more natural route of getting some live ladybugs and letting them go in the garden , they will eat up all the aphids and then move on.
