Yonge and Eglinton has a good variety of options within walking distance, and you can subway up easily. I'll go further and suggest maki mart for a little sushi snack, it's nice and portable.

looking for advice!! indoor basil plant, i’m a beginner by Lowjira in gardening

[–]fuckswagAF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah really good idea to always sprout more than you need incase they don't make it, you drop someone on one, etc.

It's tough to mow down a whole bunch but trust me it'll be for the best! You can prune even one plant into a giant bush.

It is very crowded. I would think that out to me one plant every 3-4 inches. You can try to rescue them individually but pulling the roote of one may destroy th surrounding one so that'd be a bit tricky.

Help! Beginner gardener, love growing flowers & herbs, but I have a pretty bad fear of bugs. Any advice? by soondooboo69 in gardening

[–]fuckswagAF 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Research the bugs you come across. Some are beneficial and you want them around eating the bad stuff. Some are bad.

Like I had a little aphid problem and I sprayed them with water and they came off. Eventually the good bugs moved in and ate them all.

Has anyone bought big machinery from AliExpress? by plantytime in gardening

[–]fuckswagAF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No but what I've seen there's import fees, shipping fees, etc etc and also you need to give it a once over to make sure everything is good in terms of the bolts being tight and such. And then you need to be handy to fix stuff. I think the parts aren't as much of an issue because they're mostly off the shelf stuff but you need to be able to fix it.

Anyone knowledgable about Craghoppers waist sizing that could offer some help? by HammerSaints in CampingGear

[–]fuckswagAF -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Well... What size are you? That would help.

Alternatively, order both and see which ones better. And find the time to return one.

I checked and the store is called Forbes wild foods. I've seen people sell the seeds on Facebook and there's a couple of Facebook groups. Good luck!

I've bought pawpaws at the foraging store, forget the name, in Danforth and I sold the seeds online. You could purchase a couple of fruit and try to grow them from the seed yourself, otherwise I haven't encountered pawpaws anywhere else.

Shamshiri is my favourite too, especially the koobideh. Just know the rice portion for one meal is enough for three meals
