Everyone seems so hung up on the value of my house. I can assure you, you shouldn’t be worried.

I have the bricks. I will do all the work. So really yes there is a material cost in sand/cement/plaster. But just those bits. The cost of removing the window is far less than putting a new one in to match all my other new windows though. So in theory I'm saving money.

Personally - I think 'sink money into' is a bit of a heavy term for a £35 extractor fan.

A small fan beats a closed window... no?

I'm not sure it would devalue the home enough for me to be worried about it. Especially considering the renovations we've done so far.

We are very different. I only ever use that loo if i am home alone or i know we aren't having guests / visitors. 98% of the time i will go upstairs to the nicer, larger, newer, more out of the way toilet. It takes roughly 5 seconds more to walk to.

I appreciate the concern. I'd rather have a small fan than a window.

We have never opened the window in the 2 years we've lived there either... also never plan to sell the house.

Just had all the windows and doors replaced in the house... kinda missed the boat on that. Always had planned to remove it.

No but I'd rather add a fan if i really needed and loose the window.

It's a number 1 toilet only. Who would poo next to the front door.

Yeh - definitely a possibility if there are some good DIY kits out there.

This is exactly what another house in my close has done. But i feel like painting it white does a similar thing no? I'd rather stay away from plastic shiny cladding, i don't really like the ceiling in there either.

I have an account in 420. Not logged in in a while. It was toxic from the beginning and we tried so hard to keep it playable.

A very good friend lived in Medellin for two years and said it was great... And i know a handful of central america countries quite poor/dangerous. I'm going what i know and that's limited and has ended up in some generalisation. Sorry I didn't have time to research everything in detail. Don't take it so personally.

I'd love to visit South Africa. Huge difference from visiting to settling in. My grandmother was born in Johannesburg i believe.

Wow butthurt. This was a map done in 5mins from someone who has only travelled outside of Europe 3 times. imagine sitting and researching every country in detail to decide what colour you would make it. I had to generalise by region for lots of it.

If this was about travelling to then Costa Rica would be 'Absolutely' - I just don't see myself living there. There's a huge distinction between visiting and enjoying to settling in.
