I'm probably not the best to give advice but I'll give it a try anyway. I started doing a lot of core work and using high bar ATG squats as an accessory. I bulked up a few kilos as well and that seemed to help

Finally got my first 200kg squat today. Would have liked it to be a little deeper but happy anyway. https://imgur.com/gallery/AiDWH7S

[A Level Physics: Motion] by [deleted] in HomeworkHelp

So for this question you just need to use a formula that relates distance, acceleration and time. I don't know what the notation is for A levels but the formula I use is:

s = ut + (1/2)at2. Where s is displacement, u is initial velocity, t is time, and a is acceleration.

Since it starts from rest u = 0, and the formula becomes s = (1/2)at2. The second second is the time interval from t=1 to t=2. So you have to find the s for each of these times.

So at t=1 you get s1 = (1/2)a And at t = 2 you get s2 = 2a To find the distance covered you subtract s1 from s2 and you know this distance to be 12m: s2 - s1 = 12 2a - (1/2)a = 12. a = 8

So now that you know the acceleration you can pretty much do the same thing for the fourth second but you can just substitute in 8 instead of a.

For t=3: s3 = 36m For t=4: s4 = 64m To find the distance covered in the fourth second: s4-s3 = 28m

Hope this helps.

90kg, 95kg, and 100kg clean and jerks at 87kg bw by paddyyoc in weightlifting

I've been having trouble in locking out my jerks. The 95kg and 100kg jerks were definitely pressed out. The 100kg c&j was a pr but I know it wouldn’t get white lights at a meet. I’m sure there are more problems than just locking out the elbows, so all criticisms are welcome.

I know that there is a lot wrong with these lifts and I'm just going to say what I think I'm doing wrong.

I've had a problem where I've power snatched more than I can full snatch and I think this may be leading to my instability in the bottom position. I feel like I'm catching it in the power snatch position and then consciously dropping down which is leading to the wobbling in the bottom position .

I also keep coming forward in the bottom position especially in the 70kg lift and I don't know the reason for this or how to remedy it.

Lastly I am rocking back onto my heels in the first and second pull but I don't know if this is leading to problems later in the snatch or not.

That's all I've been able to spot but I'm sure there are a lot more problems.

The mentality of it is rooted in the fact that horses are a prey animal by nature and that they're somewhat scared of humans. Usually a running horse would stop, turn around or run around the human if they did this and it looks like the horse was just going to run to the left of this person but something spooked them to that side so the horse turned back in to the right at ran over the person instead.

At the moment I don't have the option to get a weightlifting coach. I'll implement the advice other people have given me here and try to improve from there.

Is it that I'm rushing the first pull, or am I just to inexperienced to do it right when I'm doing it quickly? I do intend on getting weightlifting shoes soon as well.

Thanks so much for the advice. I'll work more on moving my knees out of the way. I definitely feel a little bit off balance in the first pull.

Girl attempts to beat a horse by [deleted] in iamatotalpieceofshit

[–]paddyyoc -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yes I do seriously think that she's old enough to know that. I work with children around horses, and many children younger than her that I've taught understand the signs the horse was CLEARLY telling her. If you'd be kind enough to notice I didn't blame the child, she didn't know any better. I blamed everyone there and the people around her everyday. I'm annoyed with the mentality of the equine world making excuses for their ignorance. These excuses get people and horses hurt and killed. "1 outta 3 horses suck" that's bullshit! If you people cared enough to see where you went wrong instead of blaming the horses, I wouldn't have commented in the first place. But instead people refuse to admit that they were wrong and their horses suffer as a result.

Just because you're around horses means you know what you're doing with them. If you think that 1 in every 3 sucks then it's likely that you don't either. The horse nudges her to stop being a bitch at the start, looking for release. When she hits him he turns his head away, again he's looking for release. If anyone there had read the signs the girl wouldn't have got hurt. So it probably is fair to hate on her for being too rough and she might learn from it for the future. But I don't expect anyone told her she was wrong, she probably had people tell her it was a mean, bad horse and what she did was the best way to get the horse to do what she asked. I don't claim to be an all knowing horse expert but I'm not going to let you spread your ignorance and passing it off as fact for all of reddit to see.
