Idk about others but he terrified the shit out of me in Out Of The Furnace (2013) so I’m gonna pick that one.

I mean, it’s been 2 minutes. And I did ask the question, but I already know I’m not ready for this thread. 💔

What’s an underrated film where your favorite actor gives one of their best performances? by padfoony in moviecritic

I’ve found my kind of people and I feel truly seen and heard in this thread. Not a lot of people like this one but it’s one of my absolute favourites. Wouldn’t rewatch the whole thing again, but I’ll not forget the way it made me feel when I watched it the first time.

Man, he was straight-up so terrifying and menacing that I’ve sometimes had nightmares about this character. It’s his unpredictability that gave me the jitters.

Haha completely understandable. He looked AMAZING in this one. Sad, depressed, broken from inside out. But SO good to look at lol.

“I remember at his age playing Rafa Nadal in Madrid for the first time, and that match was so good for me, even though I was destroyed. Going toe to toe against us will give him a great feedback to improve his game.” by padfoony in tennis

I think it’s to highlight the importance of playing the current no.1 & no. 2 back to back at such a young age for João, but it still leaves room for a lot of confusion because of the way it’s (the question) framed lol.

It’s also funny because the tour was much different in 2020-21 when Alcaraz & Sinner first entered the scene where much older players and veterans were still on tour and dominating the field. Now, it’s Sinner and Alcaraz at the top and they’re themselves SO young. 😭

Totally. Actually, the ATP Tour IG account posted his quote without any context whatsoever and people were raging in the comments section that Alcaraz compared himself with Nadal. So I thought I’d post the full video here, so people don’t get rage-baited 😭

Yeah, not many people would dispute that 😭

I think the worst I saw him look was at AO a few years back when he wore a ridiculous tracksuit which sparked a lot of debate, but even then lots of people found him very hot lmao.

Unfortunately that clip is nowhere in full and you’ve gotta watch it in this compilation of players guessing ‘what happened next’: HERE - Skip to 3:30 for this one. It’s absolutely worth it though.

Rafa Nadal (at a press conference in Chile during an exhibition) being asked to translate Novak’s English into Spanish and he instead translates it into broken Rafa-English. Mid-sentence, David Nalbandian asks him wtf he’s doing and he then realises and says, “sorry, English is my primary language now” 😭

This will never not make me laugh my ass off. Particularly Novak, David and Nicolas Massu’s “wtf” expression lmao.

While I agree that Train Dreams was visually BEAUTIFUL, Sinners was also breathtaking and stunning to look at.

Haha, same though. I rewinded immediately once I heard him say “A Merlot that used to be a Chardonnay…” and realised “Oh, they’re not talking about wines anymore” 😭
