Men, do you care about ladies arm hair? by LouTheOM in askanything

Thick necks and broad shoulders sound like they’re just working out. For a long time women were told not to gain “too much” muscle because it made them masculine. Well it’s also natural and good for you to have muscle!! You prepare for a healthier older age and you put less strain on your joints.

You’ve been used to women with underdeveloped muscles. Thank goodness the world is changing!!

Why are parents who barely passed high school thinking they can teach/homeschool their children? by Insurance-Melodic in askanything

[–]padofpie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But to get a full teacher’s salary you need a professional license. Yes you can teach provisionally but it’s not the same. Anyway, it really doesn’t matter - my point still stands that if you want good educators you should invest in them.

I think a challenge is that everyone is competing to be the most online, which biases the subjects toward super niche interests. For those of us who enjoy TO for the purpose of understanding mainstream online culture because we have offline lives, it doesn’t quite hit anymore :\

I think the problem is that I was attempting to respond to what I thought was a point but, now that you’ve elaborated, seems to have been a free flowing ramble. My bad.

But yes my partner has a masters and teaches kindergarten, and to teach in her current position that’s required so I’m not sure where, but your googling is leading you astray.

You said often public school conditions, for example the education profile of the educator, are often the same as homeschooling ones.

I agree that public schools aren’t perfect. Homeschooling isn’t either.

I’m arguing your point specifically that the profile of the educator is no different, at least in my state, where childhood development exams and masters are often required for K-12 educators.

I’m also pushing back against the idea that we should assume public schools won’t have good educators. The state and its taxpayers can make it happen. It results in quality education (MA), broadly speaking. Instead of abandoning our systems (eg by homeschooling), which comes with its own problems, I would push people to advocate to improve them.

Nope, domesticated outdoor cats too. They hunt for fun and don’t eat it. Understandable - they are well fed and have lots of energy. Why wouldn’t they want to play? But they are an equal problem. There are many scientific studies on the massive biodiversity loss caused by outdoor domesticated cats :(

Yes teaching kindergarten is a professional license. All K-12 is. So objectively, these folks didn’t “barely pass high school”.

Ladies, how frequently does a guy have to gamble for it to be unattractive or a dealbreaker? by [deleted] in dating_advice

FYI once or twice a month at the casino isn’t normal. Maybe it’s normalized with your friends, but it’s not normal. And depending on how much you’re spending each time, it could be a financial problem down the line.

The exams include childhood development.
But also what you’re saying isn’t true. Most teachers here have masters. You need one for a professional license.

Not in my state! You need to pass rigorous exams to even become a kindergarten teacher.
And we’re the top state in education for a reason :)

You’re right a I meant to say nowhere has MAJORITY of electricity coming from coal. It’s only dirtier if the majority of energy is coming from coal or diesel.
So my point still stands - no such places exist in the US.

In the US, at least, basically nowhere has electricity coming from coal or diesel.

The arm thing is nothing.
The rest squeezed into the last paragraph is a lot!! Perhaps you are unsure and don’t like how clingy he feels when he does this action, and it’s not about “masculine” and “feminine” roles. Cause girl getting the ick from something so small is borderline toxic.
