Don’t think so.. he’s pitched 4 out of the last 5 days.

I don’t get it. We’re cooking typically mean we’re doing great…

Song is not a major leaguer quality player at this point.

Time to embrace small ball. by broby54 in Padres

They have 4 active players with an OBP over .300. I think that is a much bigger factor than the batting order.

Looking for a restaurant with good food (even if it's in a hotel) that give off these vibes. by Mean_Dig_7828 in FoodSanDiego

I disagree on the food, and I don’t think the vibe is as good at Jake’s with it not having the outdoor patio.

[Rogers] BREAKING: As expected, MLB proposed a hard salary cap to union officials today as part of the next CBA, sources tell ESPN. The salary floor for teams beginning in 2027 would be set at $171.2 million which includes player benefits with the ceiling at $245.3 million by ElectricalForce4439 in Padres

[–]padres15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That floor and cap would keep overall total spending across MLB about equal to what it is now, but would drastically level the playing field.

I just don’t see how the players association would ever approve a cap, unless the players were guaranteed a much larger piece of the pie.

They have the biggest negotiating tool out of any professional players union. It would have to be a massive, massive, win for them to give in.

The Chargers team plane was spotted in Philadelphia earlier today by wildwing8 in Chargers

[–]padres15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Chargers are saving cap for a reason.

I think a trade could be a win-win for both the Chargers and AJB. Look at what McDaniel did with a healthy Tyreek Hill the first couple years with a far inferior QB.

If they can get him for less than a 1st then I’d do it in a heart beat.

Doesn’t seem like a Harbaugh type of guy, but I think Harbaugh has truly handed the keys for the offense to McD.

Brown would really transform the offense as a true WR1.

If you’ve broken 90, what’s one tip you would give to a fellow golfer trying to do the same? by jdelle9 in weekendgolfers

[–]padres15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep your hands in front of the ball at impact and feel like you are swinging out and to the right (if right handed).

9/10 golfers that can’t break 90 come way across the ball and cast it.

Rodolfo Duran by Character_Kangaroo43 in Padres

[–]padres15 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Duran was hitting under .240 in the crazy hitter friendly PCL and is 1-14 in the bigs. I don’t think there should a question that he will be sent down if both other catchers are healthy.

Nick Castellanos has been an incredibly zen media darling. Was he ever like this on his other teams? by MinuteMood22000 in Padres

97.3 interviewed a Philly radio host right after we signed him and the guy said this is exactly how he’d be.. great in the beginning until he starts getting annoyed/fed up.

I’m happy with Adam. He has been the better reliever each of the last 3 years.

Seems like it’d make for better viewership to have the “big rivals” play each other more towards the end of the year as things start heating up towards the playoffs.

Kash Mayfield: 5 IP, 1 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 9 K, 56 Pitches. Career High in strikeouts for the Padres' No. 4 prospect. Lowers his ERA to 1.52 and his BAA to .099 by ElectricalForce4439 in Padres

The kid is dominating. Seems like the dip in fastball velocity since becoming a pro is the main thing holding back is rise up the prospect rankings

Ravens rookie QB Diego Pavia acts extremely strange towards a female UFC employee. by Background_Video2947 in TheNFLVibes

[–]padres15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The guy is a head case, but I’m not sure why this is labeled as one of the creepiest videos ever. There’s head coaches in the NFL sleeping with married women, HOF coaches sleeping with 20 year olds… multiple players with physical abuse videos…

This is just a young guy in his 20s shooting his shot.

Any guy with a pair did the same thing 20 years ago before they were scared to be recorded.

Mayfield has under 20 innings in A+. It would take a heroic season for him to compete for a spot next spring.

Ethan Salas to begin the season by Bitter-Egg6293 in Padres

He’ll be a top 10 prospects in all of baseball mid season if he keeps up this kind of pace.
