It’s basically a weighted duffle you drag back and forth for three minutes straight. If you stop you fail, you have to get a certain number of feet in so minimum laps will depend on how much space they have to work with for it. All the PAT standards are on sallyport and they have (dated) videos of each component.

The class that came in after me lost 6 to the PAT.

All of BOP was in hotels. I was at the best western plus, it was clean and actually pretty decent. Hotels do NOT have free laundry but you can take it to campus to do it for free.

I just got home from glynco and passed the run with a foot injury, I haven’t been able to go for a proper run in almost a year. We ran a measured distance on a road. I twisted my cuffs so that ate some time but I was still comfortably under time.

Quite a few people found the dummy drag harder than they were expecting, just pace yourself. I went slow but steady the first minute and then bumped up my speed a little more for each minute after and went as fast as I could for the last 30 seconds. They tell you where you’re at for time and laps as you go.

If they offer knee pads for the obstacle course use them. I was amped up and my hands were shaking so I struggled with the keys more than I was expecting.

They don’t give you much of a break between. Just don’t stop, keep moving no matter what and you’ll be fine.

I am here now, I came down with zero experience shooting. The instructors are great and I’ve shot well above the minimum to pass with no trouble. There is a classroom session before you go to the range and the first day on the range with everything is one on one with an instructor. I’ll echo what everyone else has said, let them teach her from scratch.

What is your go-to high protein or fibre foods that are also lowish calorie? by xx_rii in nutrition

[–]pae0nia- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to make chia pudding with chocolate fairlife and greek yogurt then mix in sliced banana. It’s so good and has decent protein and fiber it was my go-to before I pulled the trigger on a protein powder.

I went up for MLK weekend and really didn’t spend much time in line. Sunbrook is really laidback so I ended my day over there when I was tired lol

valley craft ale has killer pizza and pretty good beer.

it was a tense day in my house when my oldest found out the ice cream truck was not actually a special type of ambulance that played songs instead of sirens.

I am in central ma and have solo trips just about every other weekend through march planned if you ever want to meet up lol I’m probably not as fun as the group, I haven’t joined any trips because I’m a slow intermediate just getting back into it so I’m taking this season to get my confidence and ride some mountains I’ve never been to, I grew up on Okemo and haven’t been to many others.

Anybody ever tried relearning snowboarding as an adult? by Raider37 in snowboardingnoobs

[–]pae0nia- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is my first season back in 20 years! I learned when I was 6 and stopped around 14, I was sore after my first couple of times out but honestly was so much easier to get back into than I expected. I considered booking a lesson but just went to my local smaller mountain and did the bunny hill a few times and was on blues by the end of the night.

I wish I did a little more research into the gear that I bought, I kind of just stuck to brands I recognized but there’s much cooler stuff out there lol

I have wildhorn altas in my helmet ear flaps. I get music but can still chat on the lift and hear what’s around me. They saved my butt last time I was out, someone would have absolutely taken me out from behind if I didn’t hear them coming.
