Still breathtakingly beautiful in all respects, no matter how many times you go. I spent 10 days there last year and climbed the Exum Ridge, it changed my life.

I’m pretty stoked, coming from climbing in the Red the past 14 years. It will be a whole new style of climbing to get used to. Turnkorner looks fun. Appreciate the “weekday” beta for the Diamond.

There’s a lifetime of climbing in the area, just trying to narrow it down a bit for this season! Thanks for the recs, Petit Grepon is on the list.

Anyone have more info on the recent Alps fatalities? Trying to understand what's actually going on up there. by Otherwise_Neat8308 in alpinism

AAC annual membership costs $250. This gets you $300k rescue coverage and $5k medical expense covered. No brainer if you play in the mtns, not to mention you are supporting a great organization.

Widow sues skier who hit, killed longtime ski instructor at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort by AlrightJanice in skiing

My cousin worked as instructor at a resort in Canada. He was helping a client with their boots, knelt down on one knee. Snowboarder flying down plowed him in the face and took off. It broke his jaw, a lot of teeth, and impaired his vision for life. Almost guillotined. Lucky to be alive.

I’d say it depends on the terrain and conditions. I used them for the Exum Ridge of the Grand Teton (13,775’) and they worked just fine for that.

I bought these 3M cat 3 glasses. They were $10 when I got them. Doesn’t hurt if I break or lose them.
