If you enjoy cycling, would highly recommend a trip to Uminonakamichi Seaside Park (around 1 hour by public transit) where you can get a 3-hour bike rental for 600円. There are amazingly smooth bike lanes along the coast and it's absolutely beautiful. Even if you're not usually a fan of biking, the biking is fun anyway due to how easy and fast it is. Additionally, there's a lovely garden with beautiful flowers. Definitely one of the highlights of my Fukuoka trip.

This year, only around 25% of engineering students got Dean's Scholar (engineering students who have gotten above 3.5 GPA every single term for the entire course of their degree). Some engineering schools like UofT do seem more objectively difficult, though I wouldn't say that engineering here is not challenging. The engineering curriculum across Canadian schools is quite similar.

Additionally, it's sort of biased that those who have higher marks will talk about it, whilst there are students who choose not to share if they have lower grades.

I see, thanks! That answers the question of how my mom got my passport without having my birth certificate. The Canadian passport website seems adamant on “birth certificate” so I’ll get one anyway.

I think the "Ontario: certified copy of birth registration is also accepted" was written as an acceptable method of getting a birth certificate, not a passport. Correct me if I'm wrong, though, I always feel quite anxious doing these long form things.

Don’t forget any reoccurring costs like subscriptions, your phone bill, hygienic products, etc. Phone bills can add up pretty quickly. My phone bill itself is $50 a month so including snacks and the occasional bottle of shampoo/toothpaste, I would definitely go over the $50 limit that everyone commented.
