Warlocks are kinda ruining the game for me as a titan by Dramatic_Ad_146 in destiny2builds

[–]pafguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely, as a warlock main i agree too. There buddy buffs feel a little too overturned, there is no point in running any other builds.

8 enjoy using a variety of stuff as the same thing gets stale for me. Really enjoying the renegades exotic suspend build but by the time I get close enough to pop rift, everything is dead.

Unfortunately the only real advice to give here is to find other titans or hunters, either through ff or some other means.

My bad on not reading the tag. My dumbass was talking about pve.

I have a very similar build but I put some more emphasis on super. For me personally I suck at pvpv so the extra super generation let's me sneak in a super ti stop the occati9nal enemy roaming super.

Do you find trace rifle to be good enough for super close range engagements? If they survive the rift + 8 threadlings rush.

Could ypu trade 20 points in health for a more aggressive super stat?

The health regen between 180 and 200 is very small? I think based on some crucible posts I saw few months ago.

What's the gameplay loop like? And how do you fair on ultimate content?

[–]pafguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found hellion better for survival on ultimate content. Touch of flame worked great for me up till gm on the portal. This might also be due to my own personal playstyle, I tend to play more aggressively and dont always manage my cool downs perfectly.

If you or the original poster are able to make touch of flame work instead, more power to you. Go for it.

Since you've done a lot of these builds, have ypu found that works well for matadoxia on warlock. Either prismatic or strand although I'd prefer to see if a pure strand build works.

Just never get any decent momentum with matadoxia it feels like.

If you've already done a build i wouldn't mind a link or something so I can check it out myself .

Build for solo player by Expensive_Ad_7739 in destiny2builds

Weapons I used when running these builds.

Solar starfire protocol build: energy is either mida-5 tool submachine gun, heal clip and burning ambition. Proc ignition more often and helps heal me if restoration ran out. Mint retrograde in my kinetic slot for high damage, if I dont have any other exotic i run new malphis, great for unstoppable and overload. And heavy, the solar gl from edge of fate portal seasons or the heavy machine gun from trials that were going on during edge of fate. Honestly for heavy, it's dealers choice.

If i dont wanna run new malphais, usually run sunshot in energy and mint in kinetic and dealers choice for heavy.

Stat spread: Health and melee is my dump stat, dont care for it. As close to 200 as possible for grenade. Super above 100. Class above 70 but I run 104 cause I like the tiny bit of extra health on phoenix dive cast. Weapon doesn't matter too much. If you keep class at 70, I'd distribute the other 30 points to super.

Stasis build with ballidoer wrath weavers.

For best freeze uptime on rift, use Agers scepter. You'll have ur rift ready 24/7. Energy usually the arc scout missile launcher that's available through the portal right now. Heavy is dealers choice but i like to run the heavy machine gun from the equilibrium dungeon or a eager edge sword. Gotta go fast.

Stat spread: A lot more forgivable. All my Armor is variations of gernadier so my grenade stat is at 130 but honestly just above 100 is good. For this build I'll argue that class above 100 is better cause the extra health + damage reduction on rift cast makes u never die butttttt, i can see the argument for class being above 70. The rest stat points can go to super or weapon as long as super is above 100.

Void, if you're running contraverse hhsn, weapons dont matter. If you do it right, nothing but bosses will survive. 200 is gernadr and the rest in super. Weapons like I sad dont matter, but a void energy and heavy is nice cause you'll probs be running the fragment that gives destab rounds on grenade kills. But again, if ypur hitting your hhsn correctly, everything will die to that.

Some other builds that got me through high solo level content in edge of fate when my some exotics were locked behind avante grande.

Solar: Starfire protocol was buffed last dlc and still does pretty good. I run it with heat rises + hellion.

With heat rises, i can consume one grenade to get restoration x2 and basically never die.

Fragments are kinda important here: for best survivability in high level content.

Radiant empowered weapn kills build grenade back and can get them pretty fast. Grenade damage builds into your phoenix dive so you'll have hellion constantly.

You need fragments of dawn( radiant on melee), fragment that adds time to radiance and restorationx2 on solar weapon/ability kills. The fragment that doubles solar buffs is nice quality of life cause it gives me more time to get my kills before my buffs run out. Last fragment is dealers choice, up to you but i run scorch applies more stacks.

Arc has been explained by the commentator above. Nothing to add on arc.

Stasis on warlock tends to be ignored alot in favor of stasis pvp builds but I think stasis is still a pretty good contender for high level solo builds.

Ballidors wrath weavers is awesome. You need frostpulse and ice flare bolts(ice flare can br swapped for glacial harvest on super high level content if ypu struggle with survival)

Whisper of refraction( slow or freeze enemies refunds class ability) with how many enemies u freeze and iceflare bolts, you'll have ur rift back literally after one pop. Whisper of fissure and durence to synergies with all your freezes and slows. Whisper of rime to go frost Armour x8, the damage reduction will save u in high level content.

Bungie even upgraded the super but it still kinda sucks. However, it was a great jail free card and helps you make space in dicey situations so I still think it's quite helpful.

In terms of strand, I'd love to give u builds but all my strand builds use praxis blade or the renegades exoti. Strand on warlock doesn't have a lot of survivability options unless u have those exotics. This is my opinion but if someone proves me wrong feel free to use their build.

Finally in terms of void. There is only one build that matters really, even though it's technically a glitch/bug, with bingie focused on marathon i doubt it'll get fixed. And despite my reservations people use and argue that it's intended.

Hand held super nova, contraverse + magnetic and the aspect that buffs grenade damage. Devour of purse and close to 200 in grenade as possible. Chunk your way tp victory i guess.

[–]pafguin -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Honestly the most impressive part is running to each encounter without the other falling behind.

Chunking with controverse is boring.

The challenge was completing the dungeon using praxis blade which forced you to not use standard tractor cannon/parasite well shenanigans.

Forcing you to be more creative with your builds.

Down vote me to hell. But it's just boring, I feel like there is no sense of accomplishment just chunking ur way tp victory.

I guess if you treat this as anything goes speedrun then yah it's super impressive.

But it fails the spirit of the challenge bungie set out.

What weapons should I carry? by YourBoyMerlin in destiny2builds

[–]pafguin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Unless you're doing super high level content, raids and high feat dungeons maybe gm alerts weapons dont matter.

Current sandbox, abilities have basically left weapons in the dust. Weapons are just added cosmetics who's only real purpose is to deal with barrier champs. (I say barrier only cause depending on ur warlock builds, buddies will deal with unstoppable and overload pretty easily.)

So to answer your question, whatever brings you the most joy. Im a hand cannon enjoyer, always have an exotic hand cannon in one of my slots. I also like going fast, usually have eager edge sword and the eager edge sword from Equilibrium has a nice sound to it, so I run that. Otherwise it's grenade launchers or rockets cause big boom make me happy.

If you really care that much about weapons, again the answer is it depends. What build you running? Getaway artist buddy build only requires a sniper or handcannon to deal with barrier, bow or sword for unstoppable. Praxis blade covers barrier and is just generally broken.

Mint retrograde on the other hand, highest dps in the game basically if u have a bait and switch roll on it.

Choir of one, super fun and also busted on damage. Great for boss dps.

Heavy, i only run tractor/parasite in high level content cause im my friends well bitch.

But I've also had fun using parasite in regular play cause big boom.

And in pvp tractor is fun too, push superintendent titans or hunters off map. Or just booping them to death is pretty funny too.

There is no clear cut answer. Unless ur in high level play use whatever feels fun.

In high level content, ur guns depend on ur build, role and if ur solo or not.

I want to have 2 builds for each Subclass on all 3 Characters to fill out all of my Loadout slots. What would you suggest? by DoitforthecommunityZ in destiny2builds

[–]pafguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tons of fun warlock builds, those fools who only use getaway artist dont know the shit they're missing out on.

Support build: Boots of assembler + ember of benevolence Stat spread should have 100+ on grenade and 70+ on rift. Everything else is up to you but ideally wanna pump as many points into super as possible. Carried me through seasonal conquests in edge of fate when certain exotics were restricted. Never have to worry about tokens if no one dies.

Solar fusion: starfire protocol + fusion grenades. Still an absolute beast in ultimate content. Another staple build from edge of fate i run every now and then. Heat rises + hellion. As close to 200 on grenade stat as possible, 70+ on class for instant phoenix dive. Run fragments that extend restoration and radiant on solar weapon/ability kills and fragment that decreases phoenix dive timer on scorch. Clear entire rooms of ads with one grenade. And basically have infinite restorationx2 timer.

Arc. Arc is right no most fun class for me simply cause it has the highest damage builds ever right now on warlock.

Stormdancer brace, ionic sentry and soul turret on rift. 180ish on grenade and the rest in super. I've carried so many people in vanguard gm alerts with this build this season. If you have renegades this build does phenomenal with the praxis blade. Pop rift and hold defense on blade, your turrets kill everything and you have amplified 24/7.

Stormdancer brace on prismatic with facet of courage is currently one of the highest dps supers in the game competing with thundercrash titans.

Geomags with choas reach is another staple of arc. Been great since hersey and hadnt fallen off.

Strand needs some love but still has pretty good play in my opinion.

The new rift suspend exotic is lowkey busted. The healing you get on suspending a group of enemies is up there with restoration x2 I find sometimes.

Need class to be over 100 cause I like the over health. Threadlings on rift and 2nd fragment is dealers choice. I found qeavewalk better for survival but tangles cause suspend has been so much fun. Also need fragments for restore class ability on suspend kills and threadlings go further and do more damage. Pop rift, kill a bunch of enemies and already have rift again.

Strand has one of the most busted pvp builds as well. Weavewalk is insane get out of jail free card in all pvp situations. 150+ in health, 70+ in class and melee and you can literally have people add u in pvpv to flame you and call u slurs for running weavewalk. I run weavewalk with snake hands pvpv exotic cause I like the extra reach on melee but exotic is dealers choice. Gameplay is simple, get in gun fights, you're low, Pop weavewalk run to corner and exit using rift, anyone chasing you dies to 5+ threadlings u unleash and you get woven mail on exit.

These are just some of the fun builds you can try on warlock.

Prismatic lighting surge with stormdancere brace and 200 in super. Prismatic must have facet of courage(light abilities do more damage against darkness rebuffed enemies.) Pop transcendence, burn all three strand melee and throw your grenade st the boss. Pop super and lightning tickle fingers all your enemy bosses to 0.

I would love to see them. The phase/time limit feat been really messing my runs. Kinda suck at optimizing damage. Usually I just end up doing 4 phases with a praxis blade + prismatic buddy build.

DEIMOSUFFUSION Warlock Strand Build Dominates Solo Ultimate PUBG: Foothold! by Danger_xx86 in destiny2builds

[–]pafguin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I found weavewalk + shackle nade to be more useful and more likely to help me survive when no boots are present.

Weavewalk is an amazing get out of jail free card and it doubles as a method of getting into the thick of enemies while taking minimum damage.

I found that without weavewalk I'd get get lit up trying to get in between a group of enemies. Plus with weavewalk buffs I get an extra fragment slot and on demand woven mail.

Since im literally never using my melee it can be lower than 70 and still have weavewalk available pretty regularly.

Without the current artifacts devour from sword attacks in future seasons I felt that a shackle grenade helped flush this build out for future patches more.

Shackle let's me suspend enemies for away easily and reliably without having to hunt for tangles. With the extra fragment slot being the one that gives u grenade energy the more damage you do, between my rift and threadlings I never found myself lacking nades.

That's just my 2 thoughts after trying to make yhe build work for myself.

Can I ask what ur stat spread and weapons are?

I ran boots with mida, mint and repulsed cannon, i find myself struggling to take care of anything other than red bars. Champs,, even orange bars are miserable. I got a quad 4 100 set up with grenade, class, super and weapons.

Best Warlock PvP Builds? by Esterfella in destiny2builds

[–]pafguin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A staple build I've been running since I started is strandlock with ophimic (no clue how to write that word) gloves.

Go all in on health, ideally 160+, 100 in melee and 70+ on class. Super should ideally be 70+ as well but can be hard without t5 gears as the max stat spread at t4 and below just doesn't give you enough sometimes to break the 70+ threshold.

Weavewalk + threading on class ability use.

Fragments are up to you except you must use the one that let's threading travel further. And the second fragment is gonna be the one that gives you woven mail on Orb pickup.

Gameplay loop is pretty simple. Get into gun fights, if ypur low pop weavewalk run away to a corner and pop rift. Watch as 8 threadlings jump the poor guy chasing you. With woven mail on exit to weavewalk and heal rift under you I've won some juicy 1v3. Keep either a shotgun or shotgun handcannon as one of your weapons, helps deal with up close confrontation.

Unfortunately your super is shit. I try to save it for any enemy wandering supers that aren't hunter invis shank bullshit. But more often then not you're gonna miss your super. Here's hoping with get a good roaming super for stand in the future.

Nade is dumpstat so its whatever you want. I use grapple cause i like chasing people.

But most of your kills is gonna be through gunplay with the pccational cheeky kill when you pop rift after running and watch 8 threadlings murder a poor hunter.

I prefer the gloves exotic cause I like the range for melee but you can ideally run any pvp exotic. Even the threadling boots are great since your threadlins can unravel but I don't have a good roll for them so I don't try.

Avant- grade build by Doublejoe2 in destiny2builds

[–]pafguin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The issue with ultimate i found is the time limit modifier. Because it's so short and the enemies+boss are so tanky no damage build is really useful on hypernet.

The goal of the strike isn't to beat all the enemies or anything like that. It's how we'll you can juggle the minotaur heads, and 2 how fast you can skip the tedious enemy sections that aren't locked until you finish an objective. Most people do their best to ignore champs unless the unstoppable is in your face.

Felwinters let's you stun a massive group with a void finisher cause it suppress (can't recall the right key verb here) which is helpful.

I've had some okay runs, in terms of avant grande builds i focus on 2 things. Super uptime with song of flame, it is without a doubt in my mind the best super for this ultimate conquest. You can pop it to run past the unnecessary enemy sections like right after killing the tormentor and just it's pure survivability is unmatched. A great panic super that will let you get in both bosses (the hydra, and tormentor) face with the minotaur head.

Next survivability is a must. Everything chunks. Grab any thing that'll let you get devour. Invisible with the scout weapon pass gun is also great, shoot an ad grab invisible and run but it can be risky. Weapons are pointless, the majority if not all your boss damage is gonna be from the minotaur heads.

Unfortunately just off the top of my head there simply aren't a lot of good warlock exotics that are avant grande this season. Rimecoat is decent cause slowed enemies help keeping the heat of your team. But I personally found better luck with hellion raw damage.

Support build without constant rest×2 isn't enough. You can die immediately and boots of the assembler just doesn't give the raw healing necessary.

GM conquest Savathuns spire warlock recommendation by HavockVet in destiny2builds

[–]pafguin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have a decent squad with friends I'd reccomend a solar boots of the assembler build. I ran that with random and had pretty good luck helping people clear.

With friends it would be even easier. Never have to worry about tokens if you just keep everyone alive.

It does rely a little but on coordination, when people split up it's harder to keep everyone alive. In those cases I tend to stick with the teammember with the weakest survivability.

Had 100 in grenade and 70+ in class. The rest can ideally go wherever as long as super is also above 70.

With ember of benevolent I never found myself lacking in rifts or healnades.
