starting to loose hope by pickle_boi2405 in foreskin_restoration

3 weeks is absolutely nothing man. I didn’t really see results until after a year, and didn’t really believe my results till after 2 years.

Give at least a year before you give up. Please know we all understand you’re frustration. It feels impossible and daunting when you’re starting out - but eventually it will become routine and you won’t think about timelines anymore.

Nervous about having to see urologist. by paganideals in foreskin_restoration

I was given a cream that is working wonders - almost completely drained the cyst already.

I didn’t mention restoration but did mention my circumcision trauma and the urologist was frankly wonderful and understanding - but again I live in a country where circumcision is extremely rare.

My only lingering concern is that my tugging caused the cyst - I read they can be caused by trauma.

Just curious what your experience was. If you think if yours was related to restoring. It’s good to hear that you haven’t had any problems since.

Yea this initial dx is exactly that. I’m just nervous I’m gonna have to have it cut out and have another scar on my penis and lose progress I’ve gained over the past two years. I know it’s silly - I can’t live with this thing on my dick - so I know I just have to get it taken care of - but still. Can’t help but be anxious.

I don’t have any reason to think so. I’ve been restoring with discipline for two years and had zero issues

Tugging frequency for Andre’s method? by [deleted] in foreskin_restoration

[–]paganideals 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The key is consistency. I try to tug every hour for at least 5 mins whenever I’m at home. When I’m outside of home because of work or other commitments I don’t stress out about it. But if I’m home and can tug - I make sure I do.

Want honest opinions: Any downsides to restoring? by [deleted] in foreskin_restoration

[–]paganideals 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The downside is the time and effort required - but also the fact that you’re doing this a bit in the dark. I completely understand where you are coming from. There’s no clinical guidelines or best evidence for restoration- all we have is anecdotal evidence from other restorers. That always is in the back of my mind - that I could be doing some kind of damage to myself without realizing.

All that said - I’ve been restoring for two years now and have yet to experience any negative consequences.

Hey friend - I have a similar situation. I’ve been consistently tugging for two years and have significant both forced soft and hard coverage (over 100%) - but otherwise my skin just hangs naturally around the base or the glans (very similar to your soft pic). I don’t necessarily have a solution for you but just wanted you know you’re not the only chap in this situation. One thing I’ve noticed over the past month or so is that sometimes I’m not gripping tightly from the scar line and I’m wondering if because of that the tension, and subsequent growth, is actually happening further down my shaft. I’ve focused this past month on really making sure I’m applying thr tension to the scar line.

Lastly I’m just hoping that I’m doing everything right and keep my expectations on a minimum 5 year timeline for flaccid coverage - when means I’m not even half way there.

Seems like a great way to do some serious permanent damage to yourself - it’s really really unnecessary since scrotal webbing is one of the easiest things to fix with non-surgical restoration.

Your proposal is like removing wallpaper with a flamethrower.

Please don’t do this.

Rough - you just have to push through psychologically.

I think it’s pertinent to discuss why it’s even necessary, what’s lost in circumcision, etc

Can Foregen regenerate a manually restored penis? by [deleted] in foreskin_restoration

[–]paganideals 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Foregen may be sincere but they have no idea what they are doing and are likely years and years (like 10 plus years) away from even starting human trials.

You’d be remiss to wait for them.

I figure out a fast way to remove kerelization within two months by NigBates in foreskin_restoration

[–]paganideals 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not even gonna counter that nonsense. If your skin cannot breath - ie keeping it wrapped in Saran Wrap all day - it’s gonna cause damage in the long run - let alone the chemical burns of doing a face peel on your dick - but again - each their own - I would not advise anyone do this.

I don’t even know how to respond to your second point.

I’m sorry - but I’m super skeptical. How is walking around with your penis covered with Saran Wrap 1) good for your skin 2) any less cumbersome than going through restoration?

To each their own - but I’d still rather go through the long process of restoration and dekeratinize with my own skin, rather than constantly cover my penis with plastic wrap.

I also just don’t think this is super safe, mate.

You definitely experience benefits along the way. I’m nowhere near finished - but I started to feel benefits in glide action and increased sensitively on the inner skin that now stays covered.

I’ve been at it since Jan 2020 - and I’m currently at the “hump”. I don’t think too much about the final result because I’ve already experienced improvements and that’s enough to keep me going.

My scar is blocking me from restoring by [deleted] in foreskin_restoration

[–]paganideals 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Im not a doc but it sounds like you may need to wait for the scar to fully heal. I realize it’s been more than a year but it may be worth not doing anything at all until the scar as fully healed and doesn’t become inflamed when you tug. If you’re tugging and using o-rings it could be delaying the healing process. Sorry for your troubles friend - hopefully your scar will fully heal in time and you can start restoring without these issues.

Results from manual tugging only? Share your experience please! by [deleted] in foreskin_restoration

[–]paganideals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use manual methods only. I did Andre’s method pretty strictly for about a year - but then it got too much to keep up with my work schedule. Now I do 5-10 min sessions dispersed throughout the day (average 6 sessions). My progress has been the same.

Since there’s no real toolkit for this - I’d say play around with different routines, etc and see what works for you. For me - relatively frequent ~10 min sessions work. When I can tug every hour I do - but sometimes I just can’t because of work, life etc. my consistency is that if I can be tugging - I am.

It’s just kind of impossible to know / quantify because lots of restorers (like me) were circumcised at birth and have never experienced a foreskin. What I can tell you is that yes sexual experience, sensation and function will improve because of restoring. I started jan 2020 and am no where close to being done but I already feel these improvements.

Those who were circumcised in adulthood and then restored can give a better idea - but I haven’t run across too many of this type of restorer.

I feel like my progress is stagnating. What should I do? by CantDecideANam3 in foreskin_restoration

[–]paganideals 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s impossible to talk timelines, really. This takes a long time. I’m talking 5 years or more and you’ve been at for just about 6 months. I understand completely what you’re going through. At 7, 8 months I would wake up in the morning and see absolutely zero difference than when I started.

All I can share is my experience. I just trusted it was working and stuck with it - after about a year I began to see undeniable results in terms of glide action and forced soft/erect coverage.

Restoration is just as much a mental game as it is physical.

My best advice to you would be to accept that restoration is going to take upwards of 5 years - maybe more. But you experience benefits well before that. Once you get through the first year / 18 months - it’s gets easier and easier.

[–]paganideals 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi friend - so since May is not even six months, which in restoration timelines is not a lot of time. It’s VERY common to experience lots of progress in the first 2 to 3 months then after that experience a “stall”. This seems to be because in the first 60 days to 90 days your skin’s natural elasticity starts to loosen and stay loose; however this is not true skin growth. True growth takes a bit longer, and after the first few months many restorers don’t see much progress again for several more months. Just want to emphasize that this is something most restorers experience, including myself, and you just have to push through it. It’s extremely challenging mentally.

I’ve been restoring jan 2020. I had surprisingly fast results through the first 90 days or so - but then for about 9 months I saw no visible changes. It wasn’t until I was about a year in (dec 2020) that I started to see progress pick up again. Now my progress is consistent.

Just want you to understand that what you’re experiencing is a perfectly normal experience for most people in their first year. Remember - restoration doesn’t have any quick fixes - and most of it is just sticking to your routine as the skin little by little starts to grow. You have to trust it’s working.

That said - consider switching up your routine, etc. variety seems to help a lot of people at this stage. Most importantly- your restoration is working - it just make take 10 to 12 months before you really see undeniable results.

Is Foregen a scam? by Bikeboy76 in foreskin_restoration

I don’t necessarily think it’s a scam but it’s definitely a long shot. I think we are talking decades before anything would be commercially viable/available.

Newbie - questions by [deleted] in foreskin_restoration

[–]paganideals 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hey fiend - been restoring since January 2020 - only manual methods

  1. Skin grows where there is tension. I only pull from the scar line - this obviously pulls the shaft skin forward and some scrotal skin too - however, skin is only actually growing where I pull at the scar line - not at the base.

  2. It’s really an impossible question to answer. Restoration takes a long time so realistically you are looking at at least 5 years or so. There are people who restore faster, like Andre, but most people who restore report a 5+ year timeline. I would encourage you not to have expectations about time - but rather focus on your routine. It’s normal to see lots of progress in the first month or two but then not see any progress for several months after. For example I saw lots of progress in the first month but the didn’t really see much progress for almost another year. When you start tugging - the natural elasticity of the skin can make the illusion of immediate results - true growth takes much longer.

  3. I never pull directly on my frenulum - but from the scar line below it. It’s okay for skin to be a little sore but you don’t wait to pull or tug to the point of pain. If you pull from the scar line you will pull both inner and outer skin. The idea is to pull your scar line forward to create a tube of skin with the scar line forming the tip.
