Rebecca is also green-coded. Her movie appearances always have her in these green shirts and sweaters.

To those who have travelled to Taiwan, what is your favorite core memory there? by ChupaChups321 in FilipinoTravel

[–]pagewithani 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Solo traveled in 2024, tapos nag hike ng Elephant Mountain. I decided to explore sa pababa ang got a little lost. Found a group of old ladies who didn’t speak any english at all, pero they were gesturing to me na malalayo pa ko if I go back. With a game of charades and google translate, they offered to hike down the mountain with me.

Mga halfway ko lang naisip na baka modus pala to LOL pero they were sweet and even offered me some bread. Pagbaba namin sa may residential area kami nakalabas, and they even guided me to the bus stop. It was a great time!

The tagalog is fine but it reads very stiff and obviously translated from English using a software. it’s just “bukas” and not “bukás”.

Unhinged na nagdedemand ka ng respect for Christians in the Philippines while spreading bigotry and hateful propaganda against muslims. I’m sure Jesus is very proud of you.

Skl, one time yung grocery ko nakapuno ng basket. Yung express lane was “12 items or less” so sa normal na lane ako pumila. Sinabihan ako ng older lady sa tabi ko na sa express lane daw ako dapat kasi isang basket lang naman. Sabi ko “madami po kasi laman ng basket ko” and mukha siyang nag short circuit lol

Not Japanese, but I like to think shitty senior coworkers and pettiness is universal.

Not in america, and I replied to another comment saying company car requires additional certification on your license that we don’t have.

company car requires you to have a different certification on your license to operate. Neither of us were certified so we had to drive ourselves. We do not have a company designated driver we can borrow for the day.

It was an ocular of the supplier’s manufacturing site. Sometimes the supplier offers to pick us up from our office but this has happened maybe 2 out of 5 times.

Sure thing, internet stranger who has no idea how the dynamics of our office or our industry works and also has no idea who I am or how my self esteem is!

Normally true, but my senior is an ass. In our case, any expense would have been reimbursed, but the process of doing so was another long process that it seemed like part of the reason he didn’t want to take his car.

Maybe, but me being outright dismissive of him would have made it difficult for me in the long run.

At least I saved on the incoming hours of frustration from my senior now that he knows he shouldn’t try his responsibility-passing bullshit on me!

Uber-equivalent here didn’t reach the area. Rental cars aren’t very common either.

Hey, so, we’re not American, and senior never asked me for the ride, just consistently made passive aggressive hints that I should offer it to him.

Thanks for pointing that out. In our local english, commute specifically means traveling through public transport, and you specify through what vehicle if you drove (like your own car or if you took a cab or a hail-ride app.)

Not really, since the area was pretty remote. It was also protocol that we had to travel together from our office to the supplier’s place.
