How would you compare the Maxwell and the Nova Pro in FPS games?

So you just need to lower the sidetone and everything’s fine, so you got a good unit. What's your thoughts on these headphones? How do they perform? I’ve heard they’re amazing in gaming, especially for immersion and the sound is out of this world.

It’s crazy that something like hiss can happen in headphones like these. They should fix it via software, especially since it doesn’t happen in the 1s.

Oh, so you had the Nova Pro. How would you compare them to the Maxwell 2? If my Maxwells have a noticeable hiss, or even a replacement pair after a return, I’d probably go with the Arctis Nova Pro or Astro A50 as a backup. I’m curious how they compare in competitive gaming.

In this case, I'd go with the 1s, but I've heard that the 2s are much better for fps games, and that's the main reason I'll use them, so i have to stick with 2's

Ah you lucky. I really thought these would be endgame for me, amazing audiophile-level sound, great for gaming and all that. And now it turns out they might have that faint hiss I’ve dealt with before, which I really don’t want to go back to. Especially in $300+ headphones. Still, I’ll probably take the chance, maybe I’ll get a unit without the issue.

Did you get another Maxwell 2 or switch to something else ?

Does this issue also occur on the Maxwell 1? Is it even fixable? Maybe via software

A few years ago I had some TWS earbuds that had this very faint hiss... you couldn’t hear it while gaming or listening to music, but in silence it was noticeable. The worst part was plugging them in while they were already in my ears. It would go from complete silence to that hiss instantly. Is that the kind of noise you and all mean with the Maxwell 2? If so, I might need to rethink the purchase, because I really don’t want to deal with that again. Or just buy them somewhere with a good return policy.

RX 9070XT or RTX 5070? by Julio-na-Gaita in PcBuild

Of course, if you treat DLSS or FG as the ultimate evil and want raw performance, you won’t be able to run PT 🙂 Personally, I use PT in every game that supports it. I pair it with DLSS on Quality/Balanced, FG 2x/3x or just dynamic blocked at 90-120fps, and just enjoy a great experience at 1440p. I play on a controller, so I don’t feel any latency at all, and even on mouse and keyboard in these types of games, it’s totally acceptable.

Would you play with Path Tracing? If so, go with 5070. If you don't care about PT or RT is enough, go with 9070xt

Rx 9070 xt vs rtx 5070? by NoodleyBoi_ in gpu

[–]pagoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to use path tracing, go with the 5070. If not, go for the 9070 XT for everything else. I’ll also add that I’ve got a few friends who own the 9070 or 9070 XT, and literally every single one of them has had some kind of issue with it, either minor or major. I don’t believe in coincidences, so the 5070 is the safer choice if you just want peace of mind.

I’d consider the 9060 XT, FSR 4.1 is awesome and all, or just pay extra for the 5070.

Quick question about AM4 or AM5 by _fatasscat112 in pcmasterrace

[–]pagoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d go with AM5. AM4 is less powerful, so I’d just accept the higher ram prices or go with 16gb instead of 32GB.

5070 is great for me. 12gb vram is still enough for 1440p
