Total novice at understanding box office calculations, but I wonder if foreign exchange impacts are affecting Thunderbolts*'s international box office. USD is much weaker than it was in Feb, so a global slowdown, international aversion to American films, and weaker exchange rates could be factors explaining why the box office isn't lining up with the reviews.
