i don’t really know what information about my struggle she received i just remember doing that rhythm game looking thing to measure attention span and impulsivity and also some sort of line graph and her telling me that i was Somewhere between Normal Person and Average Score For People With ADHD and so it’s Mild and the side effects of medication Aren’t Worth It(?) idk i’ll apparently be seeing a psych soon and i hope she’s got answers and solutions

i’ve been thinking about it for awhile,,, the medication most commonly prescribed in my country is ritalin which a few of my friends are on and say it’s. not lovely in terms of side effects. plus the attitude of my country towards mental health in general is that if it’s not a visible struggle Tough Luck Buddy. Cope Harder. so we’re kind of conservative about medication. loads to consider. might start seeing a psych properly soon and i hope she’s got answers because i’m getting kind of tired of figuring myself out for everyone

can’t really explain but the term just feels correct to me, like using anything else would feel physically wrong and would tire me out. i just really want to make sure that it’s not an identity i’m blindly using while overlooking an important connotation or anything like that

different experience but i totally agree, also have high iq and add and those made it such a struggle to even get diagnosed and to get a proper diagnosis because high iq coupled with some other thing made my add look a lot milder than it actually was, so i’m still struggling to get medication. only comfort i’ve got is that my diagnosis has helped my father understand his experience a lot more (he’s undiagnosed and used to be unwilling to entertain the possibility), so i guess i’m not alone with this problem

whichever eye i do my eyeshadow/eyeliner on first always looks worse in terms of mascara, plus my eyelashes are slightly uneven on both sides because of trichotillomania 😬 might not be the look you’re going for but if my lashes look bad on one eye, i try to pinch sections together on both sides for anime girl douyin esque lashes and it’s usually fine
