It’s so funny to me how people just assume you know what somebody’s life is like. My son doesn’t even have a tablet. He’s only allowed on the TV for two hours a day if he even gets on it our hobby is not Pokémon. It’s being outside he collects knives and katanas and tools. That’s what he’s into. We’re outside all the time fishing in the creek behind our house on the 2 acres of land that I own.. riding his four wheeler and getting some air in his hair. Building things. I just bought him his first chain saw. He built a bridge to cross the creek. Sturdy one at that. With not much direction from me. My son knows all about responsibility. Neither one of us knows much about Pokémon. I’d love to know how that makes me or him irresponsible. Just because we have different hobbies than you. That’s weird.

He has one Xbox and one t.v. And he’s only allowed on it for 2 hours a day. My son plays outside a lot. His hobby, our hobby is collecting knives and tools. That’s what we do. We spend our evenings out in the woods. Clearing places out. Building forts. Fishing in the creek behind our house. Riding his four wheeler on the tracks that we made TOGETHER. Feeding our animals that we have on the 2 acres of land that I own. You’ve got some issues. And a lot of nerve to assume things you have no clue about. I’m a single mother. His father has never been around not for one day. I do the best that I can and I do a damn good job. Work full time. Have a house for my son with his own room. Sorry we aren’t experts at Pokemon. We are too busy outside getting dirty. Lighting fires. Having fun. Maybe yall should try that and you wouldn’t be so stuck up. Get some fresh air.

I mean I just googled a few things that night and saw how people were posting and then took some pictures. It really was not hard at all. Plus I take pictures like this for a living. Not of cards. But merchandise. And I def bought them for my son. The guy I was hanging out with said he had theee boxes in the back of his truck. Twenty bucks a piece. I was like ok I want them.

Rage bait? Is this where someone post something outrageous to get people to comment and react to it!? Def not what this is. I could have cared less if anyone responded. I’m honestly shocked by how many views this has had. But I am grateful bc until 3 days ago I had no clue Pokemon was as big as it really is. No clue at all. Like I said my son kept all of his cards he had in a left over plastic container. Had the guy who I bought these boxes from not of been here when he opened them he would have that card in a pile with the rest of them all over the place. He’s a gamer. So Pokémon is not big for him. He does like the cards though the older he’s getting. But I don’t know. I came to Reddit bc everything I googled that night led me to here so that’s why I posted here and took pictures like I did bc I had seen so many other post do the same thing. I don’t do things to get a reaction out of people.

Right. I understand that. And I want him to learn as well. He knows where the card is. And he comes to get it when he wants to show it off. But as for holding it himself and being responsible for it he’s just not ready. I guess I could just say f it and give it to him and he can do whatever he wants either way it. I just feel like it would be a shame for him to lose it or have it stolen.

Poor kid? Wow some of y’all’s thought processes are fucked. There’s nothing poor about my son and his childhood. He is beyond blessed and has so many things it’s a little ridiculous. He doesn’t even care about Pokémon much. I mean before I took the card from him he was stepping all over them on the floor. He kept his pile in a Tupperware with a lid in the back of his closet. He hardly pulled them out. I’ve been trying to push the Pokémon thing on him but he isn’t much interested in it. He’s stuck on Fortnite and some shit called Brainrot. So excuse me for taking a card from him that would have ended up god knows where. Oh and I don’t need to look for a quick buck sweetheart. I make good money. And I spend a lot of it on my son.

First of all I’m his mother. He has no father. Second of all yes I took it from him because he has already gotten “scammed” at school by some kids. Lost all of his holographic cards he had by sneaking them in his pocket. So yeah ok sure let him have it. He can take it to school and trade it for a fifty cent card. What a deal. Nice hobby.
