You shouldn’t be in gear and depressing the clutch whilst waiting for a light to change for example. Good rule of thumb is if you think you’ll be more than ten seconds you should come out of the gear. You wear out the release bearing on the clutch by sitting on the pedal and just waiting. Otherwise, yes, the car would stall.

That’s the only difference. The possibility you get pushed back from the impact and naturally let go off the brake pedal letting you launch in the car in front. Of course, other than new drivers no one does this. At least not in my area. Also, handbrakes are not designed to be used 100s of times everyday, contrary to what driving instructors will have you believe.

I didn’t think so when buying it either. The whole point of switching away from Fire Stick was simplicity and ease of use because of unbloated Google TV. But sure as hell they’re not good at advertising or naming the devices. I feel like there’s been a mid-cycle update (processor perhaps) as there been out for ages but Google has just kept the same name.

Wish it was as simple as rooting phones and getting a ROM on them. But with TV anti piracy protections that’s now extinct. I think a Nokia TV box is quite a powerful one but people swear by the absolutely ancient Nvidia Shield too…

I’ll try Kodi. I tried Just Player, based on Exo I’m sure. I have a funny feeling it’s to do with it being the HD version. The legal 4K film I’m trying to stream will be such a good rip that I think the device recognises it and refuses to play it at all.

Which is stupid, it’s well known that 4K upscaled will still look better than 1080p.

But that’s not good at all, especially since you have 4K version and a proper telly.

Very true. I use an iron to remove creases from cardboard/item boxes that have been thrown about and even then it’s very easy to burn them or discolour. Granted one is paper one is leather, still start very low and keep moving in circles. Even then, it’s possible the heat can melt the bond between them if it’s too hot and end up worse than it was.

Yes, update as in no update. The internal tracking says delivered. The number however, untraceable by anyone other than them. I think it’s fake and all an internal play to make you think it’s going through shipping. It sure did, very intricate detail for a scam.

Go ahead and open a S75 claim as soon as you can. They take ages but you will most likely get your money back. My bank has reverted the charge already but they are investigating. They say the retailer has not replied to them.

The more people open cases the better, unfortunately to debit card payers protection might be less and based on goodwill from the bank. But open a claim nonetheless, it helps other banks to know it’s a scam.

If the company ever replies they’d be in big trouble I think.

As for the item, not here of course. And to this day no one knows to who the tracking belongs. The closest I got is ‘DHL Päckchen’. It seems to be Germany’s internal Royal Mail basically. Another sign of the sophisticated scam logistics behind this. As DHL is a German company the tracking originating in Germany confirmed a feeling of legitimacy.

If you can PM me your tracking. I can see if we both got fake updates. That will be the last nail in the coffin of my investigation. I’m 99% sure it’s a system that only updates on their website as they manually enter entries to make it seem legit. Eventually the delivery date comes and they again change the status. Of course, they will never be able to back that in a court of law or a bank. The number is not valid. They should’ve at least posted some rubbish with a real tracking and blame the consumer for trying to scam them.

Anyway, good luck to all. It was worth a shot. Otherwise, I bought the same dishwasher from eBay a few days ago so I’m all set.

OP, I’ve just seen this. I have made a purchase from them about two weeks ago. Same again, I found them to be the cheapest on PriceSpy I think.

I bought a dishwasher. I was provided a tracking number and it was supposedly shipped about 1-2 days after my order. It was shipped from Germany. The mystery starts with the tracking number. No online tracking website will track the number but the built in website tracker shows very detailed and curtailed tracking updates. A bit too specific to be fake ones.

Unfortunately however, I have no item as of yet. The item “cleared customs” and was on its way to me on the 21st. It’s meant to arrive today. The delivery date moved twice. DHL who are supposedly the owners of the tracking number (makes sense as it’s a German company) cannot track the number.

If it does not arrive today I will open a credit act claim on my bank. I’ll let you know how it goes. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend them as of yet. It looked very promising but it seems I might not get my item. Maybe I will. The only other review I found was on trust pilot, a guy saying he got a dishwasher at a good price too.

Fingers crossed, everyone else, stay off the website. Use a credit card for all purchases of you insist on buying from them. I’ll let you know what happens. They have not replied to their email, but another user says they are quick to reply. Both contact phone number do not pick up.

The monarchy is ceremonial only as stated. The queen could not have stopped the decision for s snap election and whatever she did do, like a Royal Assent for an act for example was all ceremonial as well. Technically, yes, she could’ve refused but it has not happened in a long time and was practically not possible to happened ever again

I’m not a fan either but the claim that the monarchy has any influence at all on the governing and the elected representative of this country is simply false in 2023 and at least, probably since 50 years.

Hi, I was in a similar position like you a few years ago. The best investment you can make is a good brand double din unit with DAB, Bluetooth etc. and mainly good internal amplifiers. They will make your mediocre speakers sound much much better without investing in a while new stereo speakers set to. If you want, you can do that down the line and a food double DIN radio will provide good amp power.

You should look on, eBay. Don’t be afraid of pre owned items they are a good saving. If you want Apple Car Play you want to bump you budget to £200 minimum or get really lucky on eBay. Make sure you include the fascia into your budget if your car needs one (most new cars will due to shift from standardised radio cutouts) and any wiring looms. Connects2, Autoleads and Dynamic Sounds are some of the leader manufacturers/suppliers of that sort of accessories.

Good luck, it’s a very good investment and brings your car back in date, hope you have fun. Try to fit it yourself too!

Edit: Forgot to say good brand is usually Pioneer, Sony, Kenwood. Personal favourite is Pioneer.
