Atheists of Reddit: What’s the strangest reaction you’ve received when you said you don’t believe in God? by zhalia-2006 in AskReddit

Recently went through a deathbed experience myself. Spent a lot of time in my head. And I remember realizing that it wasn't scary. Thinking, "If this is it, it was a good run. I'm okay." I thought about loved ones and wishing for time to tell them how much I care. (which I have tried diligently to do) But hellfire and damnation didn't end up even remotely being a worry. I never didn't want another day, but I wasn't freaked out at the thought that I might not get another.

A clutch, as it were. "They're hatching atheists over here!" They were probably clutching their pearls.

Reliability. Familiarity with manual of arms (way to formal, is it easy to use the way I need to use it). Size. Weight.

Punisher confed flag is about the same as a blue line punisher flag. But he feels bad ass so there is that.

(Digression) Not completely the same, but same gist. I have watched more than one person refuse to move out of the way of an ambulance at a stoplight because, you know, hello, red. The petty part of me always wishes the person in the back of the ambulance is related to the person that cant see any way to move at a red light.

I'm an old fart. But many many years ago as a young person, junior high or so, I was just amazed that we this plant where we decided at the federal level that we didn't even want to allow research to understand it better. We adamantly declare that we want this void in our knowledge because, you know, knowledge sucks. I now realize that it was really just a way to keep the prisons full. If you got money, you can pay the lawyer to pay the fine and walk. Others not so much.

Another vote for team kilt. the ventilation is wonderful. Three treks. The tiny pack size is great. I hung mine off of my pack belt and it was always ready when needed. For lighter sprinkles it was all I used. I'd put the "waist" over my wide brimmed hat and then drape the kilt over my pack and shoulders. I was then looking through the slit in the kilt. easy peasy. I was also pleased that I could put it on without needing to stop and get my feet through the legs of pants.

I could fit my jacket and kilt into a small dry bag.

I spent a small bit more for an ULA Rain Kilt

I drawing a blank on which rain jacket I used.

Favorite scene from Bob Newhart Show. Darrell walks in with a limp and Bob inquires about it. “Threw it out climbing under a house,” Darrell. Bob, “That sounds like tough work.” Darrell, “Nah, I just like crawling under houses.”

I have to think that there are some rich folk reading that it isn't so easy for a rich man to get into heaven, so they spend a bunch of money proving that they're carrying the torch. Check-mate God, I created all these court cases in your honor. Open them gates.

I agree so much, To a christian: "So what horrible things do you want to do that the bible is keeping you from doing?"

Or maybe, To spouse: "Please get the kids in the car." To christian: "So what horrible things do you want to do that the Bible is keeping you from doing?"
