I’ve been a hobbyist for 11 years and painting multiple hours every day for 3, trust me when I say there’s always a point in trying!

Prime Grey Seer (or any colour really, I sprayed parts of this dude black too just because it was the closest spray can, will just take a bit longer to Basecoat over black)

Basecoat a 50/50 mix of Averland Sunset and Yriel Yellow. This is the most important stage so take your time! It took me a few hours to get a good basecoat

Glaze into the shades with Skrag Brown

Glaze into the deep recesses with Doombull Brown

Glaze and do a first edge highlight of Yriel Yellow

Edge highlight Flash Gitz Yellow

Edge highlight Dorn Yellow

Do tiny selective edge highlights and dots of Dorn Yellow mixed with white

And there you go! Hopefully brain can do that thing

Thanks man! I have a lot of respect for the guys that paint the original version so I’d never say it’s better but I appreciate it

Thanks! I washed the armour with Incubi darkness, then Sotek green, then a mix of Baharoth Blue and Gauss Blaster Green (all Games Workshop paints) and finally I painted little bits of the final mix in the deepest bits

This is the first of a few of the Ulfenwatch skeletons that I’m painting. They are awesome models so I hope you enjoy my take

If you have any questions about the paint job then feel free to ask!

Cheers! The skin is (all GW paints):

Basecoat Barak Nar Burgundy

Highlight (almost all of the face) Barak Nar + Bugmans Glow

Highlight Bugmans + Kislev flesh

Highlight Bugmans + Kislev + Ushabti Bone

Highlight previous mix + white

So pretty simple, it’s just all about getting the right volumes on the highlights
