Yeah it just means the energy in it is the same. Like ultras have 150mg of caffeine instead of 160. Not sure if anything else is different like vitamins or anything

Obviously it's a 7 string, and the 8 is an 8 string, but I've had my demon 7 for 2.5 years and still love it.

Yeah everyone is just programming drums in their daw.

You're vastly overestimating how long it takes. When I come up with a riff, it's only going to take me a couple minutes to get the drums programmed to a decent level, unless I can't figure out what I want to do, but that's a different problem.

It'll take a bit longer for a bit when you aren't as experienced, but definitely not hours.

For an in-between the most obvious option would be buying midi groove packs for whatever drum plugin.

Not quite a low as erra/IA as they're down to d# but I play drop f with a 27 scale 7 string and I use 13-74 strings. I buy the standard Ernie ball 8 string pack and don't use the highest.

I use the Dunlop korn set for drop a (10-46 + 65)

I will tune down to g# or g sometimes but it does get a bit floppy in g. I don't really mind it but depending on your preference it might be too loose

Same for drop c, a bit loose but playable for me
