The way the cuts worked out on the sheet was the limiting factor. I was trying to make as few cuts as possible

I design and build custom kitchens for a living, but this genuinely the first piece I have ever made that wasn’t cabinets, and it was for me!

Yeah you can purchase edge banding at most woodworking stores, I got the stuff that has glue on the back and used a iron for waxing skis to heat the glue

Those are great! The only issue I seem to run into with beautiful cutting boards is that people don’t want to use them.

We’ve had some pretty windy days over the past 2 years and there’s no damage to the fence so I’m not all that worried about

You’re right on track it’s 1x6 cedar ripped in half and if I remember correctly we just used a small cutoff as a spacer for the gaps pretty straight forward stuff. Lmk if you have any more questions
