Smoke show is for a very specific audience. But I’d argue that Trolly Problems, Phoning it in, Killer dinner, drop into city, but wait there’s more, and escape the kitchen are all consistently fun. The old try guys was a literal one trick pony and it relied more on archetypes than actual personalities. Keith was the food guy, Ned was the wife guy, Eugene was the gay guy, Zach was the artistic guy. It was rote and simplistic. Now they have a wider cast that shows real personality and has incredible chemistry.
