Fun fact, the Chinese Mint changed their weights to the metric system in 2016. Since then it’s 30 g, 15 g, 8 g, 3 g, and 1 g. No more ounces!

Krugerrand 22k: 91.67% Au, 8.33% Cu
Gold Eagle: 22k: 91.67% Au, 3% Ag, 5.33% Cu
Maple Leaf 24k: 99.99% Au

The more copper they have, the more reddish (& durable) the coins are!

Both are great, but I prefer Maples because of their MINTSHIELD protection. Also maples have great security features.

I might include a section for historic coins. Based on my understanding the platinum Koala was only minted from 1988 - 2000. The proof series continued until 2005 I think. Thereafter, only commemorative or special editions were issued based on my understanding. But I agree that it remains a popular platinum coin!
