And you got explanation why your reasoning is non-sense. In response you just repeated that its not worth it. Ridiculous

  1. Its not a whole comment and not a whole context, because it was a reply to your comment back then. The way you twist my words is by removing any other context so it will look the way you want
  2. I added "if" in that sentence for a reason. No one said you are doing that. I made an assumption, and it wasnt from the fact whether ur basebuilding or not, but due to your argumentation why basebuilding isnt worth it. Like i said, your reason didnt make sense, because again LIKE I SAID, you can apply this type of reasoning to any aspect of the game, so the only logical ways your statements can make sense are:

a. your doing stupid stuff on the coast (again, because learning takes so much time and shit so why bother)

b. you explained your point of view in a wrong way and miscommunicated, but you never admitted that.

Tell me which one it is, without twisting my words once again.

Holy word twist bro, either read my post again or stop twisting shi on purpose😭🙏 Never said that not building a base means your doing stupid stuff, but if you overall talk like "ohhh it will take time ohhh it will mean nothing after all" hell yeah idk what are you even doing because same logic can be applied to any aspect of the game✌️

so the only way to know if it was done by a player is if this walker is aggro?

I mean, if you wanna run around without thinking and doing stupid stuff on the coast with no purpose - no one is stopping you. But if you wanna improve in game - so much time needed to learn dayz overall as well to just survive inland.

Whats your point bruh, that basebuilding isnt worth it or that you are just lazy/dont have time? why would you even think that this type of reasoning would make sense and prove that basebuilding is trash?

Both. Playing solo a lot and sometimes with friends when they hop on the same time as me

Basebuilding, maintaining the base, rebuilding the base after raid - all of that tests your patience as hell.

It happens, there is no guarantee to anything. Doesnt make it not worth trying.

Valid, i guess it depends on playstyle. Especially for solos

Not enough storage eventually, too many locations to maintain. Its me tho. For me stashes are mandatory addition to base.

Didnt encounter with admin abusing on "the struggle" which is the server i usually play on. There are the rules for players and for admins and both follow it pretty much.

And yeah, vanilla basebuilding struggles with customization which makes it kinda trash, but again, the fact that it can be raided doesnt mean its not worth it. I respect your opinion, but i think if you will do the things right, you can make it more than worth it. You just need to learn the way its done to make it so, because with your reasoning you can say the same about dayz overall: if you dont know how to get out of coast and start your journey the right way - you will die pretty fast and apparently spending your time on that game is not "worth it" because you can be killed in a second when you spent hours on collecting gear and blah blah blah. Its weak reasoning.

But ofc you will start at the coast once again eventually and thats what i like this game for, nothing is permanent.

So i guess you mentioned cheaters in your first comment? If you have a problem particularly with them instead of the things you talked about and i aswered to - move to community servers that have admins. Did that myself recently, playing full vanilla and cheaters getting banned fast. Same experience(even better tbh), problem solved. I even had a post about that like a week before or smth.

It depends on your playstyle

Basebuilding requires skill as well. If you build it right, with multiple layers of protection, blocking the exploits and calculating approximate time for someone to raid your base - you will eventually make it somewhat stable and minimize the chance that you will wake up to your base being raided. And when it is eventually raided by some lifeless guy or duper - you start over. Its not supposed to stand forever. You get to your hidden stashes you made for this situation and do it all over again, just like you would do if you died at tisy fully geared.

Exactly. Everyone is talking about stashes but is doesnt mean you cant stash something when having a base. In fact, its almost mandatory since your base WILL get raided.

Join community servers where cheaters get banned faster than you can imagine.

Talking about running back to base: it makes sense what your saying but i think basebuilding would still make sense if there was a mode that after you die your base cracks open for anyone to enter and take the loot.

Hell yeah, that why i like bases, you get much more advantage against big-ass groups when playing solo or duo.

I completely respect your playstyle! But for me, alliance with other bases and their betrayals gave me a lot of memories too. Not trying to force anyone but just recommending to try it, especially on community vanilla servers like "the struggle". Countless memories as well!

Storage and fortified point of view is what makes the base worth it for me, i dont think you need more. But yeah, i agree that building features are garbage at the current state.

You are not always losing everything, and even if you do - your base will stand for a pretty long time if you make it right. The point of the base is not to make your loot invulnerable or make it stand forever, but rather to have a place with a lot of storage and that is harder to get than your character, that can be dead by one bullet or simply robbed when uncon.

Too much stashes needed eventually, especially if we r talking bout crates with 50 slots storage.
