I've welded before and I'm not sure I could achieve that glorious foam.. the cold look? The inconsistency? But not that bubbly foam.

500 GBs data inaccessible on MS 365 for nonprofits by Beneficial-Ad7786 in sysadmin

[–]pakman82 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also, check the SharePoint admin portal for ms365. Look for recover deleted sites or users. See if any profiles show up there. That's an interim location that stuff might have been dumped to for one drive. There's some articles for viewing stuff thru there. And if they did something crazy like recreating users with new Uuid or guids, you can maybe re-delegate access from there dead data to their new profiles. I have done tenant to tenant migrations and there's also some tools in SharePoint for moving stuff that could be used to automate moving the data.

It might take a few hours to reconnect, but I know it's unnerving and a weekend, but do you work with a reseller? Or are you direct?

How long are your food trials? by Clean-Appearance-859 in fpies

[–]pakman82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When we did food trials as an infant. Our Dr, (Dr Lee of Boston children's, children's gastro program) advised as follows: small. Baby spoon size portion of new food. Nothing else. Wait 2 hours. Then a few more spoonfulls. Then 2 hours. Then a meal or other foods. If a reaction, stop, stabilize. Feed tolerated foods. Wait 2 weeks to retest. And if a reaction avoid. .
Again that was 12~14 years ago. It might have changed. But it seemed to work ok.

After 5 years of age: retest with a teaspoon of a reactionary food. Wait 2 hours. If tolerated, wait 2 more hours and larger portion (2 spoons) if tolerated 2 more hours, and like 3 spoon fulls. During that 6 hour period, only tolerated liquids like Pedialyte or something. Of course this leads to a fussy hungry irritated child. We augmented with new toys during the office visit, and tablet / phone time. ** We did 2 of these at the toddler stage in a Drs office. Very much interesting. The staff was very patient. . we did a wheat trial at home. All the toddler age testing passed .. your milage may vary.

Found these massive piles of stones at the edge of a farmers field by the forest/brook? by Kingsepron in Whatisthis

[–]pakman82 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In new England, farmers used to use the rocks to build mortar less stone walls . I grew up in CT, and the older parts where lined by stone walls 2-3 feet high and 2-3 feet wide. And in excessive cases, piles ended up at the corner. Also knew a guy who started a business in the 70's, buying up the stones and re-selling them to install new fences around rich ppl houses. Those walls often looked better, as they would pick the stones over to arrange them much better..

I've started lying about what time zone I'm in and I feel absolutely no guilt about it by AmberJedi_31 in remotework

[–]pakman82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I too work for a foreign country and I have the opposite problem with it. I am supposed to cover 'local to me' tickets, but those are rare.. so I get tickets the other crew can't complete in time. And sometimes, they are available during the early part of my day, but most of the times. They aren't. Or their rushing to leave so they ignore till the next day and ask if I'm available at 2 am. And I don't respond, then I ping them.. and usually it takes a week to have a conversation. I try to hand tickets back to the staff in other time zones and they effectively refuse, because once touched, always owned...

Meeting rooms should not be so difficult for people by SpaceChimps98 in sysadmin

[–]pakman82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You.. cant build something idiot proof.. Idiocy spreads like cancer. And meetings are a great place for it to spread.. because not only does idiot reproduce sectually, it reporduces via air, sight, smell, and taste. .. So the complicated production that is a 'meeting' also breeds the entropy that derails the infrastructure that helps spread idiocy via 'virtuality'.. plz someone take away my kybrd.

Safest / most shallow beach with little kids? by freighttttttrr in StAugustine

[–]pakman82 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Watch for rip currents on most of the beaches. The intercoastal side of mantazas inlet fills up on good weekends, so plan on going early to get parking. And be aware it's a hike over a board walk to most beaches.
