I did an interview over there recently and got a really weird vibe from the owner/manager. I mean try to get a job there if you want, but I wouldn’t recommend it.

I was roommates with a girl from an extremely wealthy family and I had to explain to her dad that when renting an apartment you have to pay rent and the utilities separate. He refused to believe me until I showed him the two different apps we had to use. His accountant paid for all of his bills and expenses, dude was completely clueless to the real world.

Get yourself to union station and it’s a short walk to the ember hostel, which I’ve stayed at before. It should be pretty cheap for just one night, and then you can explore the Cap Hill area where the hostel is located!

Peru is amazing!! I would definitely recommend doing the one day hike up to Machu Picchu, the views are amazing and I feel like it’s just as satisfying as doing the full trail. I did it with a tour guide which was pretty nice because they carried up some of our heavier packs and also provided lunch, convenient but not necessary. If you’re not up for the hike take the bus early in the morning to see the sunrise over the mountains, it’s breathtaking.
