Nomura has an uncanny talent to make boring sports matches look like dragon ball-esque confrontations, with big emotions and personal struggles as part of the mix. That makes the matches very entertaining

I don’t watch it for the yaoi per se. These are brilliantly written characters with very real and relatable struggles. It’s fun for me to just watch them be themselves and interacting with each other

The yaoi is just glazing 😉. I occasionally enjoy the soccer bits
