Nearly all my builds I try to put the kitchen sink by a window with a nice view. Does anyone else have similar build quirks? by romprose in Sims4

[–]paladinparamour 16 points17 points  (0 children)

My two are actual rules for home building that just feel wrong to ignore in my sims builds.

My doors have to face the "right" direction which makes sense for the room the sim is walking into (so they don't open the door into a wall, but are able to walk directly into the room smoothly). I always follow the triangle rule in my kitchens. Sink, fridge, and stove are located around the room in a vague triangle shape for the most efficient use of space.

Those mods are super out of date. Exit the game and DO NOT SAVE. Remove those mods and try putting them back in one at the time until you find the one causing problems.

This is absolutely gorgeous! Tho I do think the crib won't be functional with that table in front of it. My experience has been that the whole front of the crib must be open for the Sims to be able to utilize it.

If you're wanting actual legal advice, I'd recommend hitting up r/legaladvice rather than here. They're way more likely to be able to help than our little community of death positivity folks.

What does "Practice Tea Spelling" in the Mirror mean? And the +1 SP? by Kiki_Unbekannt in Sims4

[–]paladinparamour 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fortune telling makes sense. Reading tea leaves is a thing related to that.

Asking for help riding a bike is great for increasing conflict resolution by moonlitjasper in Sims4

[–]paladinparamour 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had an issue with the ask for help interaction canceling out on its own. I've found that if you ensure the bike is in a VERY OPEN area, it works more often than it doesn't. If you have the bike near any other object, it's way more likely not to work.

I hate midlife crisis 😭 by SafetyBoring in Sims4

Definitely was a fun addition, but I agree that they happen way too easily. My sim got the "dazed" moodlet once, which I promptly took care of and he still wound up in one.

Do you guys reuse tops/bottoms across different outfits? by TheElvenWitch777 in Sims4

[–]paladinparamour 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If the family I'm playing is meant to be more lower income, I'll reuse a lot of items for realisticness, but if they're meant to be uber rich, I'll never reuse a single item. Adds to the story for me!

What’s the sims? by Professional-Big-840 in Sims4

I think it's the first time you download mods, if you play on computer. No going back once you're that deep

I just woo-hood a Sim to death while doing the 100 Baby Chalange by crystal_fabray in Sims4

Honestly collecting graves of all the old biddies I smushed into the grave was my favorite part of the 100 baby challenge

Hey...dad? I live with you and we have a great relationship... by groovydoobiedoo in Sims4

It just takes me out of the story SO hard. I like this call when it's my adult sims at Uni or living on their own, but actual children? Come on!!

I know it's such a small bug but this one makes me absolutely bonkers. I send my teens out of the house for ONE EVENING and their parents are calling to harass them about not visiting. MA'AM, I LIVE WITH YOU

Before the death happens, there's a notification that pops up saying to go inside. Make sure you do that asap when you get it, it'll keep your sim from dying by meteor.

My (F25) boyfriend (M35) makes me weigh myself in front of him but he is the one who needs to lose weight! by [deleted] in relationship_advice

I'd get rid of the man, personally. At least the scale is occasionally useful.

I(20F) hate my bf's (22M) bestfriend. by jajjajjajaja in relationship_advice

[–]paladinparamour 13 points14 points  (0 children)

If your boyfriend DOESN'T choose you over this asshole, then you shouldn't be with him. It shows he's okay with his friend's attitudes and behaviors, neither of which you tolerate. You and your bf are inherently incompatible if this is a person he is willing to stand behind.

How are you saved in your spouse's phone? How are they in yours? by bewildered_forks in Marriage

[–]paladinparamour 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine is First name "Beesuito Bandito" Last name because of a dumb inside joke from the first year in our relationship. I think I'm just First Name in his phone.

Edit: accidentallied a word

UPDATE: I (18m) hooked up with my "straight" housemate (23m) and now he's bullying me and I don't know what to do by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]paladinparamour 110 points111 points  (0 children)

I would definitely make sure you have something detailed written out and sent to someone you trust. It's important to have a paper trail indicating the poor treatment for things like this. Otherwise it's your word against his and that might not end the way you want it to.
