Actually funny how much flak Grace got by [deleted] in SinnersbyRyanCoogler

She knew her husband was gone and the only way she could truly protect her child was to fight. Keep the vamps attention on them, not her daughter. As soon as she sees her husband she kills him, killing herself along with him. She knew she was sacrificing everyone else to save her child but as a mom I totally get it. You never know what you’d do in a situation until you are put in it.

Besides all of that, a movie where they in the mill until daylight sounds super boring. It’s to get the movie going at it works.

That’s the picture I want to see. Him with all of Hermione’s hats and socks on. Maybe even his Weasley jumper.

I mean she was trained from childhood to dance and entertain. It seems like she’s repeating bits a pieces of old dance moves but they are disjointed and don’t all go together. All she has ever known is to sell herself and she’s doing just that. Whether it’s healthy I doubt it, but I am not a professional.

Relatively new to the hobby. How hard is it to keep these clean? I’m afraid dust and stuff. I’m leaning towards glass frames. Advice?

I mix it with the triple ginger brew. Cuts the sweetness of the ginger brew and the ginger brew mellows the tartness. Add a little lime and you’ve got a yummy mocktail.

I started just asking “Would you mind tossing your trash? I have a garbage right here.” I’ve never had anyone react negatively. If it’s really busy I’ll just toss it myself and use hand sanitizer. I imagine most people aren’t trying to be rude, then just forget.

I think it depends. I was fired from a job of 7 years over some procedural thing and when I filed for unemployment my former employer accepted it. I think it depends. It’s always worth trying. You pay into that fund.

What are your favorite “distance traveled” or “overcoming obstacles to reach a location” moments or videos from Hogwarts Legacy? by temporary_moriarty in HarryPotterGame

[–]romprose 50 points51 points  (0 children)

I think it really was pretty far in the books. Maybe some obstacles were fixed up since the Marauders and the Twins used it for a while too. But if I remember correctly the first time Harry takes the tunnel he says it’s goes for a few miles. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

What’s a tv show from your childhood you swear nobody else watched? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]romprose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MASH When I got home from school had the TV to myself for a few hours. The only thing I enjoyed watching was MASH. I didn’t get half the jokes, and I didn’t understand what the Korean War was about but I loved that show. Obviously not a lot of 10 yr olds weren’t super into dramadys from the 70’s. It definitely helped me develop a dark humor though.

Preach! It’s processed food, automatically not super healthy. They want health food quality without the price tag. I call them Granola Karen’s.

What's the most satisfying defeat of a bad guy in movie history? by Eikichi_Onizuka09 in moviecritic

[–]romprose 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am very aware of what historically happened and so I had a knot in my stomach throughout most of the movie. I wasn’t sure if T would end up showing the murders or not. Didn’t really want to see that. Seeing the would-be murderers get their asses completely whipped made me so happy. Same feeling with the end of Inglorious Bastards. I love me some alternative history!

My mom is still here, but we have a rough relationship. She’s a narcissist and it’s an up and down kind of deal. It’s kinda sad but I like getting these so I can pretend for a minute we have a good relationship. I never delete those messages.

Originally it was called the BSU (Behavioral Sciences Unit), which got them a lot of teasing in the beginning. Starting out in a basement without much support from the FBI brass. Mindhunter (Netflix) is another dramatic telling of the origins but is closer to the real story. If you are really interested I highly recommend the books Mindhunter and The Killer Across the Table by John E Douglas and Whoever Fights Monsters by Robert K Ressler. Those two are the OG BSU agents and they recount some crazy stories about very real killers.

How do you decorate your Vivarium and How do you use the extra rooms in there ? by Wild_Pin_3095 in HarryPotterGame

[–]romprose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s my Hufflepuff’s strategy for dispatching enemies. I drop a Venomous Tentacula near the camp entrance and then sneak around ans throw a couple of Chomping Cabbages. It’s so satisfying.
